Delightful Illusions

The year 2023 is coming and it's time for me to refresh my Project Pan. I have participated in a lot of these project and I can say that those experiences taught me to utilize what I already have instead of collecting and never using what I have purchases. One of the most exciting installments of this vast community is doing the Pan That Palette; it's a popular project where you have to finish an entire eyeshadow palette all throughout the year. Since it is nearly impossible to finish a palette for a year, most project panners tend to bend the rules or give themselves goals that will consider them in a successful Pan That Palette Project. The only person I know that successfully has done this is Amber F where she used up Urban Decay Naked (Original) Palette back in 2014. Remember those days?

It's been years since I have done this project and the last palette I included in this is the Sleek Oh So Special Palette. I haven't finished the entire palette, I think I have hit pan on 9 eyeshadows and nearly finished 2. I have already decluttered that palette though because it was ready old and the quality of those eyeshadows aren't comparable to the eyeshadows I currently own. For this year, I have chosen to pan this UCANBE Marvel Eyeshadow Palette.

I have older palettes in my collection but this one is the perfect candidate for me since it's just 8 pans. I am planning to do Pan Those Eyeshadows for next year as well and having a smaller palette to focus on will keep me motivated in doing these projects at the same time. I love doing these eyeshadow project pans, have been these since 2015 and I will keep doing these on the years to come.

I usually don't do warm eyeshadow looks since I love cool-toned smokey eyes but this palette is quite old and it's already faced out in stores. Red-toned eyeshadows are of my least favorite but this year I have been buying them and I'm starting to like them. I think these tones suit my Asian skin pretty well and I want to explore more eye looks.

For the month of January, I think I'll just play around with the eyeshadows and create various eye looks. I have already hit pan on the 7th shade (matte burgundy); this was on my Pan Those Eyeshadows 2020 and it took my 3 months of continuous pans to reach the pan. I don't expect great progress on the next couple of months but maybe another pan on one of the matte shadows. That will entirely depend on what kind of eyeshadows I will roll-in in my upcoming Pan Those Eyeshadows project.

Let's take a closer look on the swatches again since my review post didn't have clear pictures. I got a new phone with a great camera and I'd love to show some swatches.

They are clear now. I'm excited to take more pictures and share them with you guys! As I have said, I don't expect great progress for the next 2 months but I hope to hit a pan at least. My plan is to give updates every two months since this is going to be a slow burning project and I don't want to bore you with updates that don't have much to offer. I think 2 months will collect much progress than giving updates monthly. Anyway, I think that's all for my introduction post. I will post my Pan Those Eyeshadows 2023 introduction so stay tuned for that. For more Project Pan contents, you can also visit my Instagram page. I'm currently doing my P.I.E. Project Pan in there. I hope you are all well and safe. Thank you for stopping by. Have a nice day. <3

Hey, guys! It's been a while since I last posted. As usual, I have been busy with work and I actually got sickly last month. I had few plans for my August blog posts but it just didn't happen because I needed to rest as much as I can. It was nothing serious or life threatening but I still suffered some pain. I am now well again that is why I am posting again. Anyway, welcome to my little world on the internet where I talk about my project pans, reviews and thoughts on the makeup products I bought and other stuff related to beauty that I wanna talk about.

The first half of this round I wasn't much progress since I rolled-on 3 orange-toned eyshadows on my last update and I don't typically wear overly warm eyeshadow looks. At the last week of August, I was able to hit pan on two eyeshadows and the following week I was able to hit on 1 and a bonus pan. In total, I have hit pan on 4 eyeshadows on this update. If you want to know more about these updates, just keep on reading. :)

Focallure Mini Sunrise Palette - Bonbon

The first eyedshadow I have hit pan si this matte light peach shade from the Focallure Mini Sunrise Palette. As you can see, this is inspired of by the Huda Beauty New Nudes Palette, but their version is more vibrant and versatile (according to the comparison videos I have seen on Youtube). I love this palette and the quality is so prominent you wouldn't not think this is less than Php. The eyeshadow that was picked on this palette is powdery and I have used this to set my eye primer everytime I do my makeup that's why I have hit pan on this so quickly. I only used this 17 times during this project before hitting pan on this. This is fairly new to my collection and I am just happy to get a chance to play and try all of the shades.

Focallure Tokyo Palette - Koi Pond

Next eyeshadow that I have hit pan on is from another Focallure palette and it is the Tokyo Palette which I have reviewed last May. The shade that was picked was this matte tangerine shade which was a little challenging since I don't wear warm-toned eyeshadows often. If you know me, you know I love cool tones and smokey eye looks. I cannot believe that I have worn this as a transition shade all through out the month and I am just glad that I was able to pull this off without looking like I have Hepatitis. Hehe! I was about to lose hope that I will be able to hit pan on this before this update but I am so glad that I did. This a nice shade but I got sick of using this every and I feel so relieved that I can finally roll this one out. I have used 27 times during this project before hitting pan on this. Yay!

Lastly, I have hit pan on this light shimmer shade with pink shift from the Zoeva En Taupe Palette. If you have seen my previous updates, you know that this palette has been here since March and kept on coming back ever since. I have used this shadow quite a bit before rolling in this to this project that's why I have hit pan pretty quickly as well. It only took me 16 uses to hit pan on this during this project. This shade is lack luster and the pink shift would have been more visible if the pigmentation was there. The concept of this palette is beautiful but the shimmers aren't just there. I this they should reformulate to these shadows because I would buy the updated version of the palette.

I have 3 eyeshadows that weren't able to make the cut for this update. These are the following:

Careline Dream Catcher  - No. 12

This dark lavender shade is actually matte with tons of shimmer. I have managed to make a substantial deep but I can't seem to reach the bottom. This is a tiny palette and is inspired by the Anastacia Beverly Hills Norvina Palette but I like the shades in here better. This is a tiny palette and each shadow is less than a gram but it seems that it's taking me while to pan on this. Honestly, this shade looks ashy on my lids that's why I only use this on as an accent color on my lower lash line. I have already used this 17 times as of this update but I am not seeing the pan yet. That's okay because I know this palette will be rolled-out by the next update.

Colourpop The Zodiac - The Aries

This The Aries shade is so bad. I only used this 3 times the previous month and haven't touched it again. This has hard pan and the pigmentation isn't just there. This shimmery orange shade but it applies dryly and the color seem to fade away as I apply. This is my  most disliked shadow from this palette and it kinda gives me bad impression to the Colourpop pressed eyeshadows. This is my only palette from the brand and I am not having a good time. I tried using as an accent eyeliner but it hardly shows up. I might take a while before hitting pan on or  I might consider giving this a special rule where roll this out once I hit the usage of 30 time. What do you guys think?

I Heart Revolution Salted Caramel - No. 10

This matte burnt orange had a great usage it's just that the pan is a little hard and I actually focused on Koi Pond as my transition shade rather than this one. I used both of the shadows on my crease but this shadow doesn't pick much on the brush. Since I have hit pan on Koi Pond, I can now focus on this as my transition shade. I have used this 27 times already but it looks like I only used it like 10 times. I am hoping to hit pan on this by the next update.

I Heart Revolution Salted Caramel - No. 6 (??)

I may not have hit pan on that matte burnt orange shade, but I have hit pan on this matte warm brown with silver glitters. I have paired this with the two orange shadows and used this to smoke out my outer-v on most times. I love this palette so much and it still smells like chocolate even if I had this for 2 years already. If you are looking for an affordable neutral palette, you should try this one. :)

I have hit pan on 3 shadows and it means that I got to roll-in 3 new shadows. I have randomly generated the following:

Focallure Perth - Mount Eliza

It seems that Focallure doesn't ever wanna leave this project. There's always a Focallure palette that's being rolled-in everytime I generate shadows. This time, I have picked a matte warm brown that leans more orange, which I think is a perfect pair for the matte burnt orange for the Salted Caramel Palette. Since I have panned an eyeshadow of the same formula before, I know that I would take over 20 uses before I hit pan on this shadow. This is pigmented and I wouldn't need much to get a vivid color pay-off. I'll see about that since this a much wearable shade than the tangerine I just panned.

Zoeva En Taupe - Old Master

As I said earlier, this Zoeva En Taupe Palette doesn't wanna leave this project as well. I have already panned 4 eyeshadows in this, exclusively just in this project, and now I'm on my way to my 5th shade. For this round, I have generated this matte purplish taupe shade with gold glitters which I have already used quite a bit and I have made a dip. I think I will hit pan on this soon and pretty much sure about that.

BH Cosmetics Zodiac - Gemini (metal/shimmer)

Lastly, I have generated this Gemini metallic silver shade which doesn't quite fit the theme of this round's color story. This palette is the newest addition to my collection and it was my wish to roll this in so that I could play this with with the Colourpop The Zodiac Palette and make some sort of a series. This so pigmented and I don't know when will I hit pan on this. I really don't mind since I would like to use this palette more.

This is the color story for Round 8. This is really similar to my last color story with the oranges and dark lavenders which an unusual pairing for me. I'll try to make a a look out of these shades since I am that stubborn and I'll try to reach my goals as much as possible.

This is my update for the previous round and I think I made a pretty good job. I am planning to end this project on November since I started this last year November and I plan on taking a break on December and just play with my palettes without pressure. I hope you enjoyed this update and stay tuned for the next update. If you follow my blog, I would be so grateful. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a nice day. Stay safe.

Hey, guys! How are you? It is the time of the month (actually this is late) for me to give update on my Pan Those Eyeshadows Project Pan. July has been such a good month for this project and I felt so productive because I have been so productive with this project. I have hit pan on 4 eyeshadows thar are included in this project and 2 bonus pans as well.  Before I actually give you the update, I have to announce something that I think is really important and should not be ignored.

Two weeks ago, I decided to throw away all of my Beauty Glazed Makeup since they have neglectful and shady about the asbestos found in their makeup. To the know the background of this issue, you can watch Anwen's video talking about Asbestos being found on the brand's eyeshadow palette. Basically, their responses on people's  questions were a little shady and they have deleted regarding the restock of the palette which they proudly announced even though it was tested positive for contamination. They test were done earlier this year and they haven't said anything or put on hold the palette. they just keep on reproducing like nothing happened. I also talked about this on my Instagram post and I have made the final decision to just stop supporting this brand and deleted my posts regarding their palettes because I don't like promoting those on more poeple. I have also decided to not post reviews of Chinese makeup brands like Focallure, UCANBE, Novo, IMAGIC and others just to be safe since these brands release products like every week or month and it seems like they don't take their time in testing their ingredients. I will still include the eyeshadows from these brands in this project but you won't be seeing spotlight reviews about them until I know they are safe to promote.

Beauty Glazed Lemon Eyeshadow Palette

Now that I have talked about that, I can now show you my exciting update. First two eyeshadows I wanna talk about are the ones that I have thrown away. I have rolled in two shadows from this palette the previous update. The 2nd and 9th shades were the ones included in this palette but I have only hit pan on the matte brown eyeshadow. I had no desire on continuing to work on the other eyeshadow since I don't want to support this brand anymore. I got to generate two shadows since since I decluttered this palette.

IMAGIC High Heels Palette  - Cake

I have finally hit pan on this matte cream shade that has been on this project since the June. There is nothing special on this shadow but I like using this to set my eyeshadow primer. The formula has smooth texture and I think that the pan isn't that deep but I have used this 34 times in this project before hitting pan on it. I like this palette a lot because they have great quality project; I just hope that the shadows aren't contaminated with asbestos. Let's see about that on the coming weeks or months.

Focallure Sweet As Honey Palette - Pure Copper

The next eyeshadow that I have hit pan on is this shimmery light copper shadow which I forgot to tally my usage of. Haha! I have already a nice dip on this shade when I have rolled this is that's I have hit on this so quickly. I know most people don't like this formula from the brand but I have found away to make them work and look gorgeous on my eyelids. I may also make a post dedicated on how to make difficult shimmery eyeshadow formula work. What do you think? Anyway, I love this shadow as my overall lid shade and I just don't why this called "Pure Copper" when it is a muted pink shadow. Haha!

I Heart Revolution Salted Caramel Palette - No. 3

I have also hit pan on this matte mauve-pink shadow that I have only used 2 times in this project before hitting pan on it. This shadow has a huge dent before entering this project and that's why I have hit pan on this so quickly as well. I used this mainly as a transition and mauve shadows are my favorites to use on my transition or crease areas.

Focallure Go-To Tokyo Travel Palette - Koi Pond

Lastly, this matte light tangerine shade is only one that I haven't used that much in the month of July. I used this 11 times the previous month and I can see a dent that has formed. I have no idea how deep the pans in Focallure's Go-TO Travel Palettes since this is the first time that this palette has been in this project. I hope to hit pan on this at the end of August.

I am so proud to share that I have also hit pan on three bonus shades from palette that are included in this project. The first two shadows are from the Focallure Sweet As Honey Palette shades Rosy Brown (matte mauve taupe) and Hypnotism (shimmery black with purple glitters). I used Rosy Brown as transition shade on some looks that I worn. As for Hypnotism, I was surprised to hit pan on this since I rarely use this shade but this such a pretty black shade with purple glitters that is perfect for creating smokey eye looks. The third eyeshadow I have hit pan as a bonus pan is this matte cream shade from the I Heart Revolution Salted Caramel Palette.

For August color story, I have rolled-in the following shades (from left to right):
    1. Careline Dreamcatcher Palette - Shade No. 12 (matte muted violet with silver glitters)
    2. Focallure Go-To Tokyo Travel Palette - Koi Pond (matte light tangerine)
    3. Focallure Sunrise Impressionism Palette - Bon Bon (matte light peach)
    4. I Heart Revolution Salted Caramel Palette - Shade No. 10 (matte muted orange)
    5. Colourpop The Zodiac Palette  - The Aries (I rearranged this palette! Haha!) (shimmery orange)
    6.  Zoeva En Taupe Palette  - Sheers & Voiles (shimmery taupe-pink duochrome)
I apologize for the typographical error. It should be "August Color Story" and not July. Haha! Anyway, for August's color story, I think I will be wearing orange tones with purple/violet accents. This such an unusual color combination for me since I don't wear orange-toned eyeshadows on a daily basis and I have never paired them with violet shades. I think this is such an interesting color story and I have already made nice warm eyeshadow looks with this.

This is it for July's Update and I hope to have new pans by the end of August. I am so sorry if I seem lost and scattered in this post, I have not been feeling great since last week. I think my needs some therapy because I feel like my veins are congested and it is painful. I hope everyone is doing great and doing the COVID protocol at all times. Thank you so much for stopping buy. I hope you follow this blog especially if love project pans, affordable makeup and unbiased product reviews. I will talk to you soon. Stay safe always. XOXO

Hey, guys! Oh my gosh! The world is in such a mess right now and the "Beauty Community" in on the top of the list. The are lots of drama, dirty secrets and other horrific stuff coming out and I don't know if I have energy to deal with this anymore. To get away from this toxicity, I share my great progress on my Pan Those Eyeshadows 2020 Project Pan. June has been such a great month for this project and wasn't expecting to hit pan on 4 eyeshadows and I am glad that I did. If you are interested to know what happened with this project, just keep on reading.

To start off, I have to share first the only eyeshadow I have not hit pan on last month. This Cake shade from the IMAGIC High Heels Eyeshadow Palette has been included in this project from my previous update and I have made a nice dip since. I use this to set my eyeshadow everyday and I think I might hit the pan by the end of the month. I have used this shadow 21 times since rolling-in and I think I would hit pan after 10 more uses.

I think that I have hit pan on this metallic olive shade from the Beauty Glazed Uranus Palette on May but I haven't noticed it since the pan was stained. I kept using this last month and I realized that the pan was already peeking through. Haha! Anyway, I didn't have any problems using this shade because this such an amazing formula and so reflective on the eyelids. I am so happy that I can put this palette to rest because this has been here since the beginning of the project. I have used this shade a total of 21 in the entire duration of the project.

This Pudaier Milky Way Eyeshadow has been re-rolled last year and my random generator application picked the shimmery beige shade called Arctic. I love the color scheme of this palette and this shimmery shadow looks so cute as inner corner highlight or as a cheekbone highlight. The formula is soft that's why I have hit pan on this quickly. I have used this 24 times during the duration of the project before hitting pan on this.

This UCANBE Marvel Palette was pretty new when this was included in this project. This matte maroon shade has been in this project for three months and I was so happy to finally hit pan on this. Hooray! I wanna have a party right not. I have never imagined hitting pan on a matte red-toned shade but I did and it makes me so happy. I have tried different technique to utilize this shadow and all of them worked since I reached my goal for this shadow. I have used this 33 times before hitting pan on this shade and that's honestly the most satisfying feeling ever. Yahoo!

I have also hit pan this matte mauve light grey shade from the Zoeva En Taupe Palette called Gallery. I have made a nice dip before rolling this is and maybe that's why I have hit pan on this quickly. I have used this mainly as my transition shade and it looked kind of ashy but I didn't mind it since it looks good on my skin tone. I have hit pan on this 23 times after using it on this project. I have decided to also roll this palette out from this project since I have already hit pan on 3 shades and I think I have already played with this palette enough. You will see later what palette I chose as a replacement for this palette.

Lastly, I have hit pan on this shimmery brick red shade from the Sace Lady Twilight Palette called Wicked Game. This shadow is cute but it has kind of hardened and the vibrancy that it originally has was gone. I used this on my lower lash line serving as an accent color and it looked cute. I am also happy to remove this for a while and utilize other palettes from my collection.

Since I have hit pan on 4 shades, I have randomly generated 4 news shades. These are the following:

Beauty Glazed Lemon Palette - No. 8

Beauty Glazed Lemon Palette  - No. 2

Focallure Sweet As Honey Palette - Pure Copper

Focallure Tokyo Palette - Koi Pond

I Heart Makeup Salted Caramel Palette - No. 3

This is the palette I have chose to focus on as a replacement for the Zoeva En Taupe Palette. I love this palette so much and I want to use this more. This palette would perfect as a companion on the other palettes included as the palette.

This is my color story for this month. I am so relieved that there are no reds or green this time. I am tired of wearing red shadows as I have been doing so since the beginning of this project. Haha! This looks so refreshing, light, and appropriate for this time of the year. This month's looks will be pretty much peachy-yellowy eyes. I am so excited to play more with yellow-toned eyeshadows.

I apologize for not sharing any makeup looks for this update. My looks the previous month have pretty much the same and I was kind of lazy to take pictures. I hope you enjoyed this progress and will stay tuned for the next update. You can search for my previous updates to see what shadows I have hit pan on so far. Thank you so much for stopping by. I will talk to you next week. Stay safe always. Have a nice day. XOXO

Hey, guys! How have you been doing the past month? I have been with work but I have also been busy with making progress on my Project Pans. If you don't know what Pan Those Eyeshadows is, you can head first on my introduction post and come back here later. I can't believe that we are almost 6 months in this year and I haven't gotten out of my town for the past two months. Luckily, I am currently assigned temporarily in my town to do some augmentation and I got more time to play with my makeup since I am not in a hurry getting ready for work. My temporary assignment caused me to hit pan on most of the eyeshadows included in this project as you can see on my last Pan Those Eyeshadows Update 4. This month, I have hit pan on another eyeshadow and that excites me even more since I can roll-in another eyeshadow.

UCANBE Marvel Palette - Shade No. 7

I wanna start sharing my progress on this shadow that had been rolled-in two months ago. This is the UCANBE Marvel Palette and I randomly generated this Shade No 7 (matte burgundy). This shadow is so pigmented and I don't need to apply much in order for me to achieve a good color pay-off. Even though I am not a warm eyeshadow lover, I enjoy using this on outer-v and lower lash line, sometimes on the crease, and sometimes as liner on my upper lash line. I have used this shadow 35 times since I have rolled this in and I have made a good dip. I have no idea how deep the pans of this palette are since this is the only one I own from the brand and I haven't hit pan on an of them before. Let's see if I can hit pan on this after 15 uses.

This metallic lime green shadow from the Beauty Glazed Uranus Palette is on of my favorites and I am so happy that I have rolled this in during my last update. I love to put this all over the lids and I will show you the look that I made using this shade at the end of this update. I use this sometimes as an eyeliner on my upper lash line and I think it looked cute together with the taupe shade that is also included on this project. I have used this 15 times since entering the project but I have already made a huge dip. I just love this eyeshadow and this brand creates the best metallic shadows. I have a feeling that I will hitting pan on this real soon. Yay!

This Wicked Game shadow from the Sace Lady Twilight Eyeshadow Palette is also a favorite of mine and I love seeing this all over the lids whenever I do red-toned smokey eye looks. This your typical shimmer formula; quite subtle and needs building for opacity. It's cute eyeshadow shade and I am see that I also made a dip on this. To be quite honest, I only use this as an accent color on my lower lash line since it doesn't quite match on the eyeshadows on included in this project. I have also used this 15 times and might also hit pan by the next update.

Next is this shimmery champagne shade from the Pudaier Milky Way Eyeshadow Palette. This is my typical icy shimmery highlight shade that I always incorporate with my looks. One of the eyeshadows from this palette have been included in the beginning of this project and it took me months to hit pan on it. This shadow may also take me months to hit pan on, but it still depends on the type of usage I will be playing on. I have already used this 17 times and I still haven't made a huge impact on the shadow. Let's hope to see the pan in two months.

As I have said previously, one eyeshadow will always be drawn from my Zoeva En Taupe Palette because I want to use this palette more before it goes bad. I have this palette for 2 years now and I don't have much usage in this palette. I have drawn this matte lavender-mauve shade and I have used this as my transition shade most of the times. This shadow is kind of ashy but I love how it neutralizes the matte burgundy shade I have in this palette. I love this shade and I think I am hitting pan on this soon as well. I haved used this 15 time all throughout this project and I have made a pretty good dip. I have used this a lot before maybe that's why this has a fast progress compared to other shades in this palette. I honestly see a pan coming by next month.

Yes, I have definitely saved the best for last. I have finally hit pan on this shimmery taupe shade which has been on this project since March. I liked putting this all over the lids everyday but I am also happy that I can use other lid shades not that I have hit pan on this. I have used this 37 times before hitting pan and that feels so satisfying. This is one of my expensive palettes on my collection and I feel so giddy now that I have already hit pan 2 shadows on this baby. Yay!

Since I have hit pan on Outline, I get to randomly generate a new shade. My random gernerator app have drawn number 131 and it correspond to this shade Cake from my IMAGIC High Heels Palette. This is matte light beige shade that maybe I can use to set my eyeshadow primer. This palette has been rarely touched and I am so happy that I can finally play with this without diverting away from this project. Yes! I have no idea how deep these pans are but the eyeshadow is loosely pressed and I might hit pan on this after 2 months. I really do hope so.

So this is my color story for the month of June. In all honestly, it kinda looks similar on my previous color stories. Haha! If it isn't a red eyeshadow, it will be a shimmery highlight or a green eyeshadow that I always generate. What is happening to the world? Haha! Anyway, I am still excited to mix and match with different color combinations and I not bored yet. This project is so exciting!

This is one of the looks I created using all of the eyshadows included in this project. I used Gallery on the crease, matte burgundy on the outer-v and lower lash line, metallic lime green all over the lids, Outline on the inner lower lash line, and Arctic on my inner corners. I loved this look so much and I never thought that taupes, lime green and burgundy will look good together. I love how the lime green shade popped even more pairing it with the burgundy shade. What do you guys think?

This is my update for this month's progress and I feel so satisfied with the dips I made. I am hoping for a good progress by the next update. How are you guys doing with your project pans? Are you also enjoying or nah? Please let us know by leaving a comment. I have lots of posts to make by the next few weeks and I hope you follow this blog in order to see more updates. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!
