Delightful Illusions

Hi, guys! Today's post is about the outfit I wore today on my niece's birthday party. It's her 7th birthday celebration today; a Frozen-themed party. All of the decorations were colored either blue, white or silver. Anyways, I wore something comfortable (as always) yet still colorful and youthful.

As you can see, I'm chubby right now. Haha! I have been eating a lot the past few months and I honestly didn't care. For my dress, I chose this high-low cut, flower-printed short dress that I purchased from Boracay. I though this was so suitable for the venue which is on the beach. My cousins wore maxi dresses, but I didn't want to trouble myself being uncomfortable on the bus. I cannot explain the specific style of this dress; it has cinch on the waistline and has this overlay fabric of the same print on the neckline. See this picture from Instagram to see what I mean: Colorful Dress.

I layered my dress with a cropped, light wash denim jacket which I got from a thrift store in Baguio. I have big arms right now and I don't feel like exposing so I have to cover them. This jacket seems to have matched with my dress pretty well. What can you say? I was actually inspired by Demi Lovato to pair girly dresses with denim jackets. Remember the Camp Rock 2 days? Her outfits were so cute!

Then I chose a brown sling bag with studs and fringes from Stradivarius. I cannot find this bag on their online store anymore but here similar ones on this page. This bag is spacious enough to put my wallet, sunglasses, earphones, small body mist and makeup at times.

To spice up my outfit, I wore this some sort of a connector ring; one band one the middle part and the other band on the bottom connected by a chain. Please tell me what do you call this type of ring because I clearly do not know. Haha!

For shoes, I chose these brown sandals from the brand Spring Fling which I bought online at Zalora. Fortunately, you can still purchase this online on this page.I think that these pair of flats went well with the rest of my outfit. These have put on a bohemian vibe on the overall outfit, together with the bag. These shoes are so comfortable to wear on and looks unique compared to other strappy sandals I've seen.

This was my outfit for today's family occasion. I loved this overall look because it's cute, youthful, and vibrant. I felt like I was a teenager again. I think that it suited pretty well for a children's party. It's comfortable, simple yet playful at the same time. Did you like my outfit as well? Let me know by leaving a comment down below. I enjoy making posts about this because I like sharing my style with you, guys. I hope you stay tuned because I will share my favorites next. Thank you so much for visiting. Have a great day. Stay safe. XOXO

Being a Graduate School student gives one privileges college students do not have. In our university, proper dress codes are strictly implemented. Undergraduates students are always being held by the guards at the gate if they are wearing shorts, above the knee skirts, dresses and such. Don't be surprised people, that's just how it goes here in the Philippines. We are conservative when it comes to school clothing. Haha! Anyways, I have worn a few times short skirts and dresses during my class (every Saturday) and the guard just let me pass because he knew I belong to the Graduate School Department. Graduate School students cannot be "touched"; they'll report them to the HR if they do. Haha!

Last week, I wore something dressy, something that stepped up the game a little bit. I wanted to look like I really belong to the Graduate School Department, something I wouldn't be mistaken for a college student.

I wore a blue umbrella-patterned baggy blouse with lace collar trimming from Forever 21. I wore a bandeau inside because I don't wanna go exposing my bra (Ewwwww!). Then I tucked the blouse in a a black circle skirt from Bayo, which is big for me because it's the size Large. This was the last piece when I got this by the way. I paired this ensemble with a brown flat pointed shoes from Solemate.

To complete the outfit, I went for a brown leatherette structured from Stradivarius. Fortunately, this is still available on their website and this is called the Rigid Bag (click for link). I love this bag so much, it goes with everything I wear. This gives a sophisticated accent to most outfits and it's spacious.

And here's just another random selfie that I took that day. I was intending to show my bag but it was out of the picture because I didn't have a selfie stick. Haha!

I was absent to my only class this day because I have a slight fever due to over fatigue. Aside from the fever, I am feeling pain on my thighs, back and feet. I just need some relaxation and I will feel better again.

Thank you so much for stopping by. It was nice to have a little bit of chit chat. I'm hoping you're having a great day. I'll talk to you soon. Stay safe. Lots of love and kisses.

Hey, guys! I went to Baguio City with my family, we had our Summer vacation there. Baguio City is a cold place, no doubt with that. As a first time visitor, I think I dressed up a little too much during Day. Haha! I was expecting that it would be cold like Winter. Haha! :) Anyways, my key piece on this travel was my sneaker wedges, which you have seen a lot already. I will never get tired wearing these because they are the cosiest shoes ever. They feel like boots when you put them on. I got sick the entire vacation that's why I didn't wear makeup. I apologize if I looked like crap on these pictures.

An awkward pose at a garden near the Hall of Justice.

Day 1: This day's outfit was pretty neutral in colors and simple in style. I want something comfortable yet stylish. I got inspired by the Autumn/Winter outfits I see on YouTube and magazines. If you don't know yet, I live in the Philippines. which is a tropical country. We don't have Spring, Autumn and Winter. We only have dry and wet seasons. Going up on the mountainous province of Benguet is a perfect idea if you want a cold summer.

Sitting on a tree inside the Burnham Park.

I opted for a charcoal wool top and a patterned skirt paired with black leggings. I also wore a brown-beige suede hoodless jacket to put a little of color on my outfit. I got the top, skirt and jacket on various thrift stores. My leggings and shoes were given by my family. The picture above shows how the getup looks like without the jacket. This outfit warmed me enough against the gloomy skies and chilly weather that day. What can you say about the first outfit? Let me know your thoughts. :)

A shot in the middle of Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad.

Day 2: We had a semi-tour on Benguet during 2nd Day of vacation. Our first destination was in La Trinidad, the town next to Baguio City. As you can see on the photo above, there are different plants planted but most of them are strawberries, that's why this placed is called Strawberry Farm. The weather in there is warm and sunny. My outfit went perfectly with the temperature; not too hot nor too cold.

A photo with the pink-haired horse at Mines View Park.

During the tour, I wore a mint green V-neck shirt from Aeropostale paired with a sky blue skinny pants gave by my mommy. I wore the same shoes, a sneaker wedge from Adidas. To add a little decoration on my outfit, I hanged a tri-color scarf with sequins from Mogao. My ears easily get cold so I also wore a gray bonnet which I bought from the Night Market at Baguio City. :)

I wasn't able to take pictures of my 3rd day outfit because we went home early. We caught the bus that leaves 10:30 am for Manila, a 6-hour long trip from Baguio City. Anyways, what can you say about my outfits? Did you like those? Or not? Please let me know. Don't worry, I'll post my adventures on our tour. So expect for more posts about the travel. :) I'll talk to you soon. Thanks for stopping by. :) Have a nice day. Stay safe always. XOXO

Hi, guys! I'm Sylden. Welcome to my little world on the internet. Before anything else, I want greet everyone a Happy, Happy 30th! The year 2014 will be over in less than 48 hours and I still can't believe it. Haha! Isn't it crazy? How can time fly by so fast?? Anyways, today's post will be about my outfit of the day; we went to SM North Edsa earlier this day. My cousin Imred and I roamed around the Sky Garden, shopped a few things then ate at this restaurant that we just newly discovered which I will be talking about later. Today's weather is a little bit chilly, I almost froze at the mall. Haha!

For today's outfit, I wore something comfy yet so put together, at least in my opinion. Haha! I was inspired by Taylor Swift's style; blouse tucked in a high-waist shorts paired with flat shoes. I know that she usually wears oxfords and sneakers, but I prefer doll shoes. My top is from the brand Chelsea which I showed on my Zalora Haul. The fabric of this button down is made from chiffon; it's comfortable, thick and feels silky. I didn't even wear a bandeau or cami underneath because it not so see-through which I adore. My shorts is from ukay or thrift store and my shoes are from the brand My Tender Toes.

I told my cousin that we should pass by the Sky Garden in going to the The Block because I was freezing inside the mall. I asked her to take a picture of me on some parts of the garden and as you can see I was seating on this fake grass that the mall has provided for the visitors. Stepping on the real grass is prohibited. Haha! Behind are giant christmas balls and trees. Aren't they cute? :)

As we were done with shopping trip, we looked for a place to within the garden. By the way, I forgot to tell that the garden is like a kilometer long and it's full restaurants from one side to the other. The place is overwhelming. We passed by this restaurant called 8 Street Bites, the prices are incredibly affordable compared to others. We were craving for street foods so we didn't have any second thoughts on eating at this place. The ambiance is welcoming and feels like you're on the streets of New York, the staff are accomodating. If I am not mistaken, this restaurant is originated from the USA. Please correct me if I'm wrong. :)

There is a freedom wall where the customers can write their thoughts about the food, place, people and anything under the sun. The prices of food and drinks ranges from Php 48 - 300, nothing over Php 400. Their extra orders starts from Php 29. That is crazy! Unbelievable!

Imred ordered Php 78 Cheezy Fries, Php 88 Nachos (cheesy) and Php 48 Frostea. Her grand to total was Php 214 only. For these servings, the prices are too non-resistant. Who could?

Look how generous the serving was. The tomato dip is already included on the meal.

Cheese overload! The taste even gets better when you it with the spring onion. It tones down the sourness of the flavor. This is definitely a must-try!

We ordered the same drink which was the Frostea, basically an iced tea topped with fine crushed ice. It's nothing to lemon nor watery. It's just plain perfect. I am not even joking. :)

This was what I ordered, the Php 99 Freeway Nachos . I also ordered a Php 68 Tiramisu which was not included on the pictures because my camera's battery went on empty. I was surprised to see that I finished the whole plate. I can't usually eat the entire plate of what I'm ordering on various restaurants. Haha! The nachos were topped with tomato salsa, spring onions, beans, dressing, meat and basil leaves.

If you ever eat on 8 Street Bites, get this first. It's delicious and you won't regret a single moment. This is heaven for me. Haha! I will be going back before I go home. I'll mark that on my "to-dos".

This is it for today. I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures and be convinced to try what I recommended. Haha! This is in no way a compensated feature. I love what I share. Thanks for stopping by. I'll talk to you after New Year. Take care. Have fun. Stay safe. Love you all!

No, I didn't get married. My cousin was. Haha! I am anticipating that you would be thinking that I did get married basing on the title of this post. Haha! By the way, how's my fellow countrymen? Is everybody safe? Please take care, we might not know what would the Typhoon Ruby/Hagupit would bring to the Philippines. :)

Yesterday was my cousin's wedding, which we all felt happy for her considering that her age is already over at the calendar. :) Sorry, cousin. :D Anyways, that was just a civil wedding. I honestly didn't what would I wear since I know my cousins love to dress-up and I wasn't sure if they would wear something casual or semi-formal. Haha!

For the top, I decided to wear this cream-white chiffon sleeveless and tucked it in with a aqua blue circle skirt. As you can see, the top has pearl and faux rhine stones embellishment at the neckline. I didn't wear a necklace since the embellishment served as one. I got the skirt from Zalora, which I featured on my previous post: ZALORA - Pre Holiday Outlet Sale ( Up to 80% off).

My shoes wasn't originally this. I was wearing a silver ballet flats, but I saw that my cousins were wearing heels. So I a borrowed a wedge from my cousin. I didn't want to be out of place. Haha! :) These white wedges with ruffled ribbon-like and studded heels were from bought from eBay. II'm sorry, I forgot the brand. :D

My only accessories were a pair of ginormous pearl earring that I received as a gift from my cousin and a silver "balls" bracelet from my mom. My makeup was really simple since I was not the bride. I don't want to overdo it. Haha! :D

This the overall look. I think that the pieces pretty matched each other. Haha! What do you think? Did I do a good job? :) I was actually trying to imitate JoJo Levesque at this pose. It was a fail. Haha!

I wanna thank my boyfriend for being my photographer at this day's post. Thanks, baby! :* Haha! Please let me know if you have any requests, suggestions, comments, or anything. I'll try my best to do an action on it as soon as possible. Please take care and be safe. Let's pray for everybody's safety during Typhoon Ruby. Love you all. XOXO

Hi! This is just a really quick post about my outfit today. I went to the mall with my mom this day to chill out and relax. We were stuck at home these past few days because of the storm so we decided to go out. She played Bingo and I watched movie at the cinema.

Anyways, I decided to wear a simple and comfortable outfit with a touch of glam. I'm wearing a fitted plain black U-neck blouse and tucked it in on my white shorts. To add a spice, I picked up a colorful starfish statement necklace and paired it with a gold watch. I didn't wear earrings because the neck piece is enough. Sorry for the messy background.

And here's another #awkward pose of mine. What am I doing in this anyways? Sorry, I don't do modelesque poses. Haha!

This how the outfit looks like from the top view. My sandals are outside. My mom does not allow us to bring shoes inside the house; except for house slippers.

I chose this leather-ish man made sandals that was made from Marikina. It's comfortable and giving that earthly vibes. What do you think about this?

A closer look of the outfit.

Starfish. :)

So, that's it for today's outfit. I hope you like my style. Please tell me if you want more posts like this. Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice day! Stay safe. XOXO

Fashion is a hit or miss for me. It's something that I do too personally, bringing out my own style. To tell you honestly, I don't go with trends. They will cease anyways  I always buy classic and basic pieces that I could match with anything. I could boring and plain with fashion at times. "Comfort over fashion" is my motto. It depends on my mood too. There are days that I just want to be stocked with jeans, hoodies and sneakers for a while. There are days that I'm feeling the vibes to dress up and be girly. I'm not high-maintenance when it comes to fashion.

Last March 7, we had our Employee's Day as part of out institution's Foundation Week. I don't know I haven't told you yet but I work as Guidance Staff and Scholarship Coordinator. :) The theme was Bohemian, which is kind of my style. I decided not to by clothes for this party because I have lots of printed stuff on my wardrobe. I'm thrifty, you know. Haha!

This is the overall look of my outfit. Since I wanted to dress-up, I made preparations. I scouted for Boho items for weeks for me to create the look I wanted to wear. The Aztec-print, high-low dress was first seen on my the Mini Fashion Haul post. I love the quality of this piece even though it was pretty cheap. A little baggy, but didn't mess up with my wide physique. I love how flowy this dress is. I'll post more pictures at the bottom. :) *I'm sorry for the awkward pose. Not my thing.

These wedges were from Shoes Unlimited, a local brand, bought from Robinson's Department Store. Originally, the price was Php 1,499.75 but it was on sale for 50% off. Yay! I saved money again. Red is not my thing but this particular pair caught my attention and eventually my heart. The color combination looks really hot and unique. The taupe shade tones down the hotness of the red, the floral printed heels make this appropriate for Bohemian fashion. By the way, this is most probably 7 inches high. I was able to rock this the whole day, running errands. Isn't it amazing?

Accessories were my biggest dilemma in constructing this outfit. I actually bought a lot, I went crazy over these. I opted to wear this feather necklace with chains and faux diamonds. A little bit edgy put totally went good with the dress. For the ring, picked s stretchable one with brown bead stones. This is really random but I loved the outcome. For the earrings, I chose to wear crescent moon, gypsy-like, dangling pair. I find these really adorable. All of these are from Shop & Match.

Since my hair is already wavy, I didn't do anything about it. It's already Bohemian in nature. I lent my  hairband to my friend because it annoys me. It looks perfect on her though. I kept my makeup simple; my eye look was neutral and made my lips pop with fuchsia. I'm sorry for the blurred photo. :)

Did you like this post? Want more fashion posts? Please tell me. I'll make more and hopefully will improve the contents. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day ahead! Stay safe. :) XOXO
