Delightful Illusions

Hi, y'all! How's your weekend? Mine's pretty chill because I stayed home, watched movies and beauty videos. Anyways, for today's post I decided to share with you my collective makeup haul from Shopee. If you don't know what Shopee is, it's an online application that houses various shops selling products for affordable prices. Shopee is also generous in giving their customers a bunch of discounts, coupon codes and Shopee Coins (which can be used to get more discount). It's one of my favorites applications and my makeup collection has grown so much since I started shopping from them.  If you have time, please check it out. You'll be addicted!

The first two makeup products I'm about to show you were bought from the shop called Radium888. I bought from them the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal Peach Corrector and the L.A. Girl Endless Auto Eyeliner. The shop sells US and Korean authentic cosmetics and they are also a Shopee Preferred shop. They sell makeup at lowers prices compared to other shops and so you better check them out.

L.A. Girl Pro Peach Corrector
I bought this corrector because I really wanted to try it since a lot of people use it and talk about it. I love this because it cancels my undereye dark circles, though it could look cakey with some concealers. They also have an Orange Corrector, which is intended for darker eye circles. It looks good under foundation and is easy to blend. I cannot yet say that this is the best peach corrector since this is the first time I have bought on. I bought this for only Php 169.

L.A. Girl Endless Auto Eyeliner in Very Black
This eyeliner is surprisingly long lasting! I never heard anyone talked about this on the beauty community. I have been searching all my life (that's exaggerated!) to find an affordable plain black pencil eyeliner that stays for hours put and doesn't give raccoon eyes once it fades. It's not very black though; I need to build this up, maybe 3 swipes to get an intense black line. This is perfect for tightlining because it doesn't budge on the upper lashline. I do recommend this if you are looking for a black liner. It only costs Php 150 at this shop!

The next makeup items I'm about to show were bought from the shop called Best Price. They sell Essence makeup products with the lowest prices! I was planning a few weeks ago to blog about my full face using Essence Cosmetics and do a short review, so I searched for a shop that sells a lot of them and I found Best Price. I didn't get any much face stuff because since they sell mostly items for the eyes. Anyways, I'm still thinking posting about the idea and might do it soon. Maybe this Holy Week?

Essence All About... Chocolates Eyeshadow Palette
The first item I got from this shop is this Chocolates Eyeshadow Palette. I wanted to try one of their eyeshadow palettes. I only got this one and I think this is a Limited Edition Palette. I love that these are neutral shades but with different tones. The only downside to this is that there are no any matte shades and I don't have anything to use on my crease. The white shadow on the top row looks like a matte shadow but once you swatch it it has a sheen.

The shadows are nicely pigmented and some has duo-chrome effect that shows once applied on the lids.  I used this once and I liked how it lasted all throughout on my eyes with a primer. I don't think you need this palette if you already have a lot of neutral shadows since all of these have dupes all over the world. But if you like collecting eyeshadows, then go ahead and buy. :) I got this for Php 199 only!

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara
The best mascara I have ever used! This mascara is all over YouTube for a long time and I just tried it. Jeez! This mascara does give a false lash effect; it clings to every hair of my lashes and gives a lot of volume. I will buy this again if I ran out of this. I'll insert a link (here) of the picture using this mascara. It's not waterproof but it lasts all day long. It's also easy to remove. I bought this for only Php 149.

Essence Gel Eye Pencil in Gunmetal
I also got this gel eyeliner pencil because I was curious about this product and have been wanting to try for the longest time. If remember correctly, this came out around 2015 and most people said that they liked this. This was faced out already but some online sellers managed to hoard these liners (haha!) and so I got one. Anyways, this eyeliner stays on the water line all day though it fades as the time passes. I love how pigmented and vibrant this is and it only costs Php 139.

Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara in Borwny Brows
The last item I bought from this shop is the eyebrow gel mascara that everybody says is a dupe for the Benefit one. Unfortunately, I don't have the Benefit one but I can definitely say that this is the best eyebrow mascara I have ever tried! It makes by brows stay in place all day. The only downside I can see with this is that they only have 2 shades. Overall, i think it's a great product and I might repurchase this once I finish this one.

Those are the products I bought from Shopee the last couple of months. I have been addicted to Shopee ever since my purchase and I buy most of my makeup from them. Do you also love Shopee? If so, what shops do you recommend to buy makeup from? Let us know by leaving a comment. It will be much appreciated. I hope you liked this haul of mine and please stay tuned for more. I'm thinking of doing a wear test for a local liquid lipstick and blog about it. Anyways, thanks for stopping by. Have a great day! XOXO

Hi, guys! Welcome to my March 2016 Favorites post! :) I missed February, and so I thought I would share my favorites this month because they are actually the same from the previous month. I got to discover some skin care and makeup products last last month and I loved most of them. There are some things mentioned in this post like application technique and product combinations. If you are interested to know them, just keep on reading. :)

Maybelline Color Show Lipstick in True Toffee
It's one those lipstick that you will love for the rest of your life after you have applied this on your lips. I'm not even exaggerating guys. The formulation is creamy, has smooth application on the lips, and moisturizing all through out the wear. The products claims to be long lasting and rich in pigmentation, which I think is true based on my experience. This True Toffee shade comes off as peachy nude which has a cool to neutral tone. I'm a light-skinned with warm undertone person; I didn't think cool-toned nude lip colors will not look good on me. If you are looking for an affordable, great quality, long lasting lipsticks, check Maybelline's Color Show makeup line.

AVON Simply Pretty Lip Defining Pencil in Nude

Another AVON product again. Yay! Honestly, there's not a single makeup product from AVON that I didn't like. The products that I got from this brand are all great. I'm not kidding, guys. Anyways, I loved this lip liner the past month (and still it is this month) because it's a easy use; it's a no-brainer product, glides smoothly on the lips, and easy to clean the excess. This products looks pretty dark on the liner, but goes on light on the lips. It comes off as a warm light brown shade which actually looks good together with the lipstick I mentioned above. I highly highly recommend this lip liner if you are looking for a budget friendly but good one.

These are the swatches of the products I just talked about. As you can see, the other one is cool-toned and the the other is warm-toned. I have worn this combination during a celebration event we had last week; I have loved it because the products stayed long on my lips for hours. I have only retouched once. Anyways, please excuse my face here, my falsies was still wet and my eyes were feeling heavy. Haha!

Human Nature Purifying Facial Scrub and Human Nature Balancing Face Toner

"A good skin is a happy skin. A happy skin is a healthy skin. The more organic the ingredients are, the better." That was my quote, which I said during my mini makeup lesson that I have given to my office mates last Monday.  Recently, I was starting to ditch my skin care products because I wanted to use organic products for my skin care routine. Human Nature is a local brand that has emerged years and years ago on the Philippine Market, aiming to bring an array of 100% organic skin care products without the high price.

I have recently ran out of a facial scrub, so I browsed a grocery for a new scrub to try on. I saw the Human Nature Purifying Facial Scrub which has real strawberry seeds. Strawberry seeds used as a face scrub?? Wow, that's sounds so cool! I love how this scrub makes my skin feel cleansed and purified without feeling the usual tightness I feel with other face scrubs. It has that clean sweet scent which isn't overwhelming at all. It's not really for fighting for oiliness and pimples, but it is a gentle scrub for daily use. If you are looking for an affordable organic face scrub, check this product out.

I also bought this Human Nature Balancing Face Toner because I remember loving this way back on 2012; It was year I first tried this product. I loved it, and I love it still. It feels light and gentle, somewhat moisturizing, and smells so nice. This toner is never tightening nor drying. I love it a lot. Enough said! :)

Daiso Hyaluronic Acid Mixing Face Mist
An acid mixing mist for your face?? Is that safe, Sylden?? Haha! Worry not, my friends. This is a safe mist that could be used daily. I have searched the internet about this Hyaluronic Acid and I found out that this acid is used on products that helps heal wounds, dry pimples, and other related stuff. This product is not bad at all! I bought this because I was intrigued to see how this works that first I time I saw it on the store. This is nice for moisturizing the face before applying makeup, setting the face, mixing it with flaky eye shadows, and a lot. I love how this fixes my face when a product decides to cake on my skin suddenly. :) This is a life saver! Haha! I might forget to mention that this has alcohol and isn't organic at all. I don't if this is even safe for sensitive skin. If you have no any problematic skin conditions, this might work for you as well.

The next thing I'm gonna talk about is actually a technique I learned from Michelle of ReadySetGlamour. A couple of months ago, she uploaded a video about Do's and Don't s of makeup. One of the techniques that really caught my attention was the one in which she demonstrated to set the eye primer/base with a powder. I tried the technique the next morning and I was amazed. The powder absorbed the moisture on my lids, making the eye shadows to blend better and lasts all day long. I also noticed a minimal creasing towards the end of the day. If you haven't done this technique, please try it. You will love it and see the difference. I use the Esssence I Love Stage Eyeshadow Base on my lids and set it with the Clean and Clear Oil-Control Pressed Powder. This combination works for me and I love it. :)

Victoria's Secret Fearless Fragrance Mist
Oh My God. This perfume describes me -- FEARLESS.  It's sweet, sour, fruity and alluring at the same time.  Victoria's Secret described this as: "Attitude is everything in this modern take on a seductive floral scent, here in a sheer fragrance mist." The scent is floral with blackcurrant, purple diamond iris and orris notes. The scent kind of reminds me of the ZARA Oriental Eau de Toilette, which has girly seduction in it. They're not on the same family of notes, but they are on the same family of floral fragrances. They have both seductive scent; the VS is hardcore and the ZARA is toned down. Anyways,I love this Fearless Fragrance for everyday use. It's something that screams "me". I'm a fearless person and I know it. Haha!

Those are my favorites for the month of February and March. What are your current favorites? Please share those with us by leaving a comment down below. I love reading and replying to comments. :) If you have any requests, please let me know. Thank you so much for reading my favorites. I hope you enjoyed this post. I will talk to you soon. Have a great week, everyone. Stay safe. XOXO

"A makeup haul, Sylden? I thought you're having a Project Makeup Low Buy for 2016"? Hi, guys! I know you will probably say that guys if you have read my last post. Before you judge or anything, I just want to let you know that I have bought these makeup products during my vacation at Manila last year. The SM North Edsa's Beauty Section at the Department Store had a crazy sale on most of the makeup brands they sell; foreign ones like Essence, Catrice, Flormar, and local brands that I will not mention one by one.

On my first trip to the Beauty Section, I was actually looking for gifts that will be giving to my family. I have dedicated a post showing you the items I gave them: Last Minute Christmas Gift Ideas for 2015. Anyways, my cousin and I were walking inside the department store and saw the Essence kiosk. What made me really thrilled upon seeing the kiosk were the sign boards saying "Php 100", "Php 150", "Php 75", "Php 50", and a lot more. I instantly knew that were having a crazy sale on their face, cheeks, eyes and lip products. I couldn't help myself in not swatching a lot products on the tester rack and deciding what products to get. I was thinking that we don't have Essence in Iloilo and there is nothing wrong in buying a lot of makeup products when they or a great sale. Haha!

Essence Crystal Eyeliner 06 Rosy Rush
Regular Price: Php 199
Sale Price: Php 75

As I have finished swatching, I have decided to pick this Crystal Eyeliner in Rosy Rush. This is an irridescent eyeliner; it looks pink on an angle and looks gold on a different angle. The glitters are so fine it doesn't feel like a glitter at all. This is the form of liquid which is perfect for me. It glides on smoothly with a watery feeling on the skin. I like this as a topping on my lid shade. This long lasting as well. I will definitely do an in-depth review on this.

Essence Big Bright Eyes Highligh It Pearly
Regular Price: Php 179
Sale Price: Php 100
The next product I picked up is a highlight for eyes on a jumbo pencil form. This is one of the products that I have fell in love the first I swatched it. On a dim light, it looks like a pinkish pearl shimmery shade. On natural morning light, it looks like an ordinary white shimmery shade. This looks good on my waterline but I notice some glitter fallout on my lower lash. That is totally fine because I just smudge the fallout and move on to the next step of my makeup. Haha!

Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil 01 Black FeverRegular Price: Php 169
Sale Price: Php 100

The last thing I picked up from my first trip on Essence is this black eyeliner. I love that this so pigmented and easy to apply. It's flat matte but applies smoothly. This is nice for the lash line, tight line and waterline because it lasts a long time. I am so happy that I bought this one.

I only picked up 3 products on my first trip because I still have to buy gifts. I said to myself that on my next visit, I will buy the white mattifying powder that they have which is hyped by a lot of girls all over the world. It was on sale for Php 200 only and I was positive that I will get my hands on it. I didn't know if I was just slow, but it was sold out when I came back. It was so disappointing. I still did get a couple of products though.
Essence Eyebrow Designer 01 Black
Regular Price: Php 129
Sale Price: Php 100

Although this looks like a light black shade on the swatch, it applies boldly on my brows. I like to use for outlining my brows; not so much for filling in. I have medium gold brown hair right now and if I have a super black brows, I will look like a drag witch queen. Haha! This a buildable product but it gets messy when I blend it. I don't know if it just too creamy or the brush it comes with does not do a good job. It lasts all day long though. This has a blonde shade but it was too light for me so I chose this color. If you are looking for a affordable brow liner, check this one out.

Essence Eyeshadow 45 Back To KhakiRegular Price: Php 139
Sale Price: Php 75
The last product I bought from Essence is this khaki green eyeshadow from their regular line. When I swatching the shadows, I couldn't decided what to get because they have another neutral shadow that I was staring. The sales lady said that this eyeshadow looks more good that the one I was eyeing. Out of nowhere, I just said "Okay, I'll get that one". She was able to convince and I am glad that she recommended this to me. This looks a brown with green undertone shade on my lids which is not precise on the picture above. Please blame the natural light. Haha!

Those are all the products I got on the beauty sale the SM North Edsa had. I am happy with all the items I got. There's nothing in here that I hate or regret buying. I should have gotten more but I didn't want to spend all of my money on makeup. I did good, right? Haha! The total cost of all these products should have been Php 815; I have only paid Php 450. Almost half the total price! Yay! I did a good bargain.

If you have any Essence makeup products that you love and would recommend to me to try, let me know by leaving a comment. I will appreciate that. :) Did you enjoy the haul? I will be reviewing these products one by one if I can find a time. I hope you liked this post and will come back for upcoming posts. I will talk to you again soon. Have a great day. Stay safe. XOXO

Hi! I can't believe June is flying by so fast. I still feel like we just hit the beginning of the month, like it started a week ago. Do you feel the same way too or I was just so busy this month? Anyways, I just want you to know that I went to Baguio City again last June 7 until June 11 because our National Conference was held there. I know I promised that I would post about my Baguio vacation but I wasn't able because there are lots of things I want to talk about that I cannot completely share with just on the spot typing. I really hope I have the time to write down my travels, experiences and priceless wanderings. ☺

I have some beauty products discoveries recently the last few months and I am gonna talk about them in a while. This month's favorites are mainly focused on beauty products. Yay! :)

The first on my list is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart Valentine. This is one of those popular lip chubby sticks sold by Revlon. Way back on April, I asked my mama to buy me this particular product line, just in a light pink shade. I was so happy that she picked this shade; it matches my skin tone and is wearable for everyday. I have used this constantly since I got this and the triangular-shaped head is now flat. Haha! That's how much I love this lip product. It glides on smoothly, moisturizing and has vivid color payoff. The moisture comes off after I eat but the color is still on my lips, leaving a nice stain. This is one of those Barbie pinks that most people could wear.

Here's my selfie on a plane wearing the Sweetheart Valentine Balm Stain. See, it looks pretty natural. If you are wondering, I go these sunnies from Daiso.

Next is this Essence I ❤ Stage Eyeshadow Base that I started using sing April. This is on my favorites list this month because I think this product needs some recognition from the blogging community. As what the product is all about; this an eyeshadow base and not a primer. I love how this base neutralizes the darkness of my lids. It's blendable and has a thick consistency which is good because it does not add weight to my eyes. That's the main reason I love this product. If I don't wear eye makeup, I just dab this on my lids and set it with a powder so it won't get oily. Overall, I think is a good product for everyday use.

Talking about skin care, I'm currently loving this Eskinol Pimple Fighting Facial Deep Cleanser. If you have been a reader of my blog for so long, you know that I'm obsessed in cleaning my face. I have already talked a lot of facial cleansers and scrubs. Cleaning my face is step I never miss even if I'm tired at night. I really don't like sleeping with a dirty face. My mommy's family is prone pimples so I take the time to clean my face everyday. This product removes all traces of makeup and dirt  on my face and neck. This also dries up pimples really fast and does not break me out. I use this everyday after I wash my face.

This Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes in Cherry Blossom smells so sweet. That's the main reason why I love using this product on my face. This removes a decent amount of makeup and dirt on my face and neck. It has moisturizing feel though this doesn't fully remove waterproof makeup. I can still see traces of eyeliner and mascara after washing my face. All in all, this is good makeup wipes that won't blow up your budget. This can be found at Robinsons Supermarket. :)

The last but not the least, I'm obsessed with this pointed nautical strappy shoes from Make U Look which stored at MOGAO boutiques. I have been wearing these a countless times and I got compliments when people look at the shoes. I was surprised that this pair matches casual outfits; shirts, pants, and shorts. The most surprising this about these is that this is only Php 149! Can you believe that? I can't! Haha! Visit MOGAO stores and see if you can find something like this. :)

Those are all of my of my June Favorites. Did you find something something interesting? I hope you do. If you have any product suggestions, please let me know. I love discovering things. :) By the way, I'm recently joined a company that sells Organic Soaps which are made in the Philippines. Yes, I'm a dealer. I'll post about it soon. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day! Stay safe. :D

The month of love has come! Who's excited for V-Day? Haha! Me? I have classes so I just probably be in the Graduate School. Anyways, I will be talking about my 2nd  January Favorites today. Time flies by so fast. I cannot even believe that this blog will celebrate it's 2nd anniversary on June. :) (*giving you all a grateful smile)  This will be a really quick post so I hope you will continue reading. I don't have much beauty products for this post because as always, I have been using the same products. But, I have added some categories like favorite site and style items.

Makeup

Essence All About Matt Oil Control Make-up Base - A decent base. It dries quickly and doesn't feel sticky nor heavy. The formula makes my face makeup last all day long. My skin feels smooth and looks dewy after I apply this. This is a lightweight base so you don't have to worry about layering products on your face. A little of this goes a long a way. It has a little bit of a typical paint scent but it's totally bearable. I notice that my skin gets somehow oily during lunch time but my makeup is still intact. If you are looking for an affordable base for your oily skin, I suggest getting this one. This is only Php 289 at Watsons's.

Hair

Hair Treats Hair Coat (Macadamia) - Oh my goodness, I'm obsessed with this hair styling product. Girls like me with wavy hair will really appreciate this. I apply this on my hair after taking a bath; combing first then scrunching it. I like this better than my hair curling lotion because it give moisture and doesn't look stiff after drying. I let my hair air dry to let the oil sink into my hair. Upon arriving at the office, I comb my hair again and looks like natural loose waves with amounts of shine. It smells like a freshly baked cupcake which makes me love it even more. I also recommend checking this one. This could also be found at Watson's.

Skincare

Pond's Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Facial Scrub - This is an irony; I actually liked a product from the said brand. I have actually mentioned on my first product empties post that I don't like products from Pond's because they break me out. But, this one is different. After weeks of using this, I noticed how my skin got clearer and radiant. I haven't had a single zit after my first wash with this. This gentle to my skin and has a nice, semi-sweet scent. In my opinion, this is the best facial scrub I have ever used. I recommend this to all of you.

Style

Adidas Neo Label Super Wedge Sneakers - I can't get enough of these rockstars! The first time I tried these, they were a little bit tight. But, after a few days straight of wearing these, they got comfortable. What I love about these is that they are comfortable to wear all throughout the day. This particular color and design is very stylish; it matches with almost every outfit I wear and is appropriate for most occasions. (I even wore these on work! Haha!) To tell you honestly, I also wore these when we went to Boracay. Haha! I even wear these on the beach! Silly me. Haha!

I get compliments whenever I wear these. When you put them on, you will instantly feel increased self-confidence and gives a right amount of attitude (a little bit swaggy too, I must say). The fabric is suede as you can see and it's prone to dirtiness so I have to be really careful in handling these. The picture below was taken from scholl. See? I even wear these on Graduate School. That's how I love these shoes! I'm obsessed! Haha! If you have the chance to buy these type of shoes, go and grab! It's worth the money.

White and Black Freshwater Pearls Pandora Bracelet - I'm not a pearl person but the moment I saw this on Boracay, I fell in love with it and bought it. Freshwater pearls are cultured pearls and a lot affordable than natural pearls. I bought this from Puka Beach, Boracay if you are wondering. The lady sold this to me for Php150 only; she gave a great bargain because I was her first buyer. So nice of her! :) Anyways, I love this because it looks elegant and classy. This is not a cheapy bracelet that you can buy anywhere; it's something exclusive and made by the natives of Boracay Island. The charms do not fade nor can be stained. I've been wearing this a lot too the past month. :)

Social Networking

Instagram - I've posting a lot of pictures on Instagram lately. From ootds, nail polish, face of the days, food, my activities and so much more. Haha! Thanks to my LG Fino, I can now post high quality pictures. If you want to stalk or follow me, here's my account: delightfulillusions. Haha! :)

That concludes my January Favorites for 2015. Did you enjoy reading? Any questions and suggestions? Please let me know. Thank you so much for reading and stopping by. It is truly appreciated. :) I'll talk to you soon. Be safe. I love you all! XOXO
