Delightful Illusions

Hey, guys! Today's post will about this UCANBE Marvel Eyeshadow Palette that is known as a dupe for the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions Palette. This will be the first time I will be talking about this brand on my blog and I am so happy that I will be talking about good things to day. I bought this last December, after Christmas, and I had this since January. I was supposed to feature this a few months ago but I was so focused on making progress on my Pan Those Eyeshadows Project and I kind of ignored this was for a while. Last week, I had a few days to play on this palette more since the project is going well and I have extra days to play other eyeshadows and so I went ahead and used this 3 days straight. If you want to know my thoughts on this palette, just keep on reading.

Out of all the 9-pan eyeshadow palettes that I have bought from Shopee, this one has the best packaging. It has that holographic effect on the design, it doesn't fade, and looks expensive. I love the fact that this sleeker compared to the palettes that I bought from the said application. It fits on my makeup bag and it doesn't take too much space. This quite larger than most 9-pan palettes, but that doesn't bother me since the shadows have larger pans and they more product. I also love the fact that they utilize the space; it looks neat and organized. The only this that I would add to this palette are the shades names so I can easily identify and pinpoint the eyeshadows.

Upon looking at this palette closely, you will notice that these shadows are the exact duplicates of the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette. Huda Beauty's palette is more of bloody reds and the shimmers are more peachy or beige shades. This Marvel palette is like a toned-down, subdued, and has a nicer color story than the former palette mentioned. I don't know why they called it "mauve" palette since I don't seen any mauve shade in there. Haha!

I've got to say that the best part of this palette are the matte shades; so pigmented, buildable, blendable and doesn't have annoying amount of fallout. All of these shadows are tightly-packed and rarely has any fallout. The shimers are more like metallic shades since they are so fine and reflective once applied on the lids. These shadows are easily picked-up by brushes making it one of the friendly-user with great quality palettes that I have tried. This palette can create various red-toned eyeshadow looks from cute girly day look to sexy vampy night look.

Shade 1 - This is a light pink metallic shade with a little bit of chunks of glitters but look so pretty once blended.
Shade 2 - This is a matte cream shade that is nice for setting the eyeshadow base or blending harsh lines on the crease.
Shade 3 - This is a matte bloody dark red brick shade that is so pigmented I was afraid to use on my eyes. It so loud and this is the only shadow I have not yet used. Do you have any suggestions?
Shade 4 - This a matte cool-toned brown shade that is perfect to use a transition shade if I want a more of a subdued look.
Shade 5 - This a matte burnt pink shade that works as a perfect pink transition shade. It could also be built-up for intensity. I think this would make a pretty blush as well.

Shade 6 - This is a shimmery dark pink shade which I also like but there's nothing special on this palette
Shade 7 - This is matte maroon shade which is currently included on my Pan Those Eyesadows. I always use this on my outer-v, upper lash line, or upper lash line and it looks beautiful.
Shade 8 - This is a metallic light pink shade with gold and peach glitters which looks so stunning on the lids. I think this the most unique shade in this palette and I hope they will sell an individual eyeshadow for this shade.
Shade 9 - Lastly, this is a matte dark mauve brown shade that could be used as an eyeliner, an one-shadow smokey look, or could be used to fill-in the brows. I just love that this shade here instead of another red shadow.

I have created 3 looks using this palette solely the past week and I managed to achieve 3 different looks. The first one looks like Barbie's eye look, the second one is like a full-blown pink look, and the third one is an all-matte smokey look. I think that this palette creates red-toned looks but also different enough from each other. As I always say, I am cool-toned eyeshadow person and liking warm eyeshadows is saying something. This is one of those times that I liked warm eyeshadow looks and I am so satisfied that I bought this palette.

Overall, I think that this palettte is a great alternative to the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette because you get that same pigmented shades and similar color story without spending so much money. This currently being sold for Php 200 at the UCANBE Official Shoppee Store, so if you want to try this palette for yourself go ahead and grab the discount right now.

This is it for today's post and I have more reviews to come since I have been buying a lot of eyeshadows lately because there are lots of nice deals going on. Haha! Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed today's post. Have a nice day. Stay safe always. XOXO

Hey, guys! How have you been doing the past month? I have been with work but I have also been busy with making progress on my Project Pans. If you don't know what Pan Those Eyeshadows is, you can head first on my introduction post and come back here later. I can't believe that we are almost 6 months in this year and I haven't gotten out of my town for the past two months. Luckily, I am currently assigned temporarily in my town to do some augmentation and I got more time to play with my makeup since I am not in a hurry getting ready for work. My temporary assignment caused me to hit pan on most of the eyeshadows included in this project as you can see on my last Pan Those Eyeshadows Update 4. This month, I have hit pan on another eyeshadow and that excites me even more since I can roll-in another eyeshadow.

UCANBE Marvel Palette - Shade No. 7

I wanna start sharing my progress on this shadow that had been rolled-in two months ago. This is the UCANBE Marvel Palette and I randomly generated this Shade No 7 (matte burgundy). This shadow is so pigmented and I don't need to apply much in order for me to achieve a good color pay-off. Even though I am not a warm eyeshadow lover, I enjoy using this on outer-v and lower lash line, sometimes on the crease, and sometimes as liner on my upper lash line. I have used this shadow 35 times since I have rolled this in and I have made a good dip. I have no idea how deep the pans of this palette are since this is the only one I own from the brand and I haven't hit pan on an of them before. Let's see if I can hit pan on this after 15 uses.

This metallic lime green shadow from the Beauty Glazed Uranus Palette is on of my favorites and I am so happy that I have rolled this in during my last update. I love to put this all over the lids and I will show you the look that I made using this shade at the end of this update. I use this sometimes as an eyeliner on my upper lash line and I think it looked cute together with the taupe shade that is also included on this project. I have used this 15 times since entering the project but I have already made a huge dip. I just love this eyeshadow and this brand creates the best metallic shadows. I have a feeling that I will hitting pan on this real soon. Yay!

This Wicked Game shadow from the Sace Lady Twilight Eyeshadow Palette is also a favorite of mine and I love seeing this all over the lids whenever I do red-toned smokey eye looks. This your typical shimmer formula; quite subtle and needs building for opacity. It's cute eyeshadow shade and I am see that I also made a dip on this. To be quite honest, I only use this as an accent color on my lower lash line since it doesn't quite match on the eyeshadows on included in this project. I have also used this 15 times and might also hit pan by the next update.

Next is this shimmery champagne shade from the Pudaier Milky Way Eyeshadow Palette. This is my typical icy shimmery highlight shade that I always incorporate with my looks. One of the eyeshadows from this palette have been included in the beginning of this project and it took me months to hit pan on it. This shadow may also take me months to hit pan on, but it still depends on the type of usage I will be playing on. I have already used this 17 times and I still haven't made a huge impact on the shadow. Let's hope to see the pan in two months.

As I have said previously, one eyeshadow will always be drawn from my Zoeva En Taupe Palette because I want to use this palette more before it goes bad. I have this palette for 2 years now and I don't have much usage in this palette. I have drawn this matte lavender-mauve shade and I have used this as my transition shade most of the times. This shadow is kind of ashy but I love how it neutralizes the matte burgundy shade I have in this palette. I love this shade and I think I am hitting pan on this soon as well. I haved used this 15 time all throughout this project and I have made a pretty good dip. I have used this a lot before maybe that's why this has a fast progress compared to other shades in this palette. I honestly see a pan coming by next month.

Yes, I have definitely saved the best for last. I have finally hit pan on this shimmery taupe shade which has been on this project since March. I liked putting this all over the lids everyday but I am also happy that I can use other lid shades not that I have hit pan on this. I have used this 37 times before hitting pan and that feels so satisfying. This is one of my expensive palettes on my collection and I feel so giddy now that I have already hit pan 2 shadows on this baby. Yay!

Since I have hit pan on Outline, I get to randomly generate a new shade. My random gernerator app have drawn number 131 and it correspond to this shade Cake from my IMAGIC High Heels Palette. This is matte light beige shade that maybe I can use to set my eyeshadow primer. This palette has been rarely touched and I am so happy that I can finally play with this without diverting away from this project. Yes! I have no idea how deep these pans are but the eyeshadow is loosely pressed and I might hit pan on this after 2 months. I really do hope so.

So this is my color story for the month of June. In all honestly, it kinda looks similar on my previous color stories. Haha! If it isn't a red eyeshadow, it will be a shimmery highlight or a green eyeshadow that I always generate. What is happening to the world? Haha! Anyway, I am still excited to mix and match with different color combinations and I not bored yet. This project is so exciting!

This is one of the looks I created using all of the eyshadows included in this project. I used Gallery on the crease, matte burgundy on the outer-v and lower lash line, metallic lime green all over the lids, Outline on the inner lower lash line, and Arctic on my inner corners. I loved this look so much and I never thought that taupes, lime green and burgundy will look good together. I love how the lime green shade popped even more pairing it with the burgundy shade. What do you guys think?

This is my update for this month's progress and I feel so satisfied with the dips I made. I am hoping for a good progress by the next update. How are you guys doing with your project pans? Are you also enjoying or nah? Please let us know by leaving a comment. I have lots of posts to make by the next few weeks and I hope you follow this blog in order to see more updates. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great day!

Focallure Beauty has recently released this limited addition Tokyo Palette as part of their Go-To Travel Palettes. This palette is inspired by the infamous Sakura plant from the country of Japan and it contains various shades of pink, some yellows, mauves, oranges and a super cute petal-shaped pressed glitter. The palette has this softer tones which perfect for Spring and I know most of you will love this palette. I have used all of the shades and I can say that there are some major improvements in this formula which so amazing since it is a little expensive for its cute size. If you are interested on my experiences and verdict on this palette, just keep on reading. :)

If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I have previously reviewed the Focallure Perth Palette which also a part of their Go-To collection release last year around June. Just like what I have said from that post, this is quite expensive compared from their larger palettes but it still worth the price since they put so much detail on the packaging; from the design, the sturdiness of the packaging which includes a mirror, to securing the box by doubling the protection. This palette has 15 shades containing various finishes. The mattes and really smooth and easy to blend. The mettalics are so pigmented and easy to apply. Unlike the previous formula, these metallic shades are easily picked up by brush and doesn't need a lot to achieve good pay-off. This also contains two ultra-metallic shades which if perfect as eyeshadow toppers.

Most of these shadows have pink undertone but with different variations and color depth. As I have played with these shadows more and more, I have realized that they are different enough from each other and it does't feel repetitive at all. I also love the fact that they included two cool-toned shades which feels a little random but nice for a variety. Like most Focallure eyeshadow palettes, this one also lacks deeper shades  and I find it hard to create looks for night time. I live more smokey looks and they are my favorite type of eye looks to create and liking this palette despite of it lacking deeper tones is saying something. I don't wear these types of shades on everyday basis but I am loving the girly vibes these shadows for far and I am learning to enjoy warm eyeshadows because of this brand.

I apologize for the quality of these pictures, I am still trying to figure out how to take good quality pictures with new Huawei phone. These shadows are stunning in person and metallics shades are to die for. They are so soft, easy to blend, pigmented and lasts for a long time with a good primer. I have used all of the shades in this palette except for Hanami, the pretty pressed glitter shades, since I don't to look to extra at work. I will find an opportunity to incorporate this glitter shadow on one of my looks whenever I have one. For this post, I will be sharing three looks that I have created from this palette. These are the following:

This first look gives me Spring Barbie vibes. I used Sake (matte 4 pink tone) as transition shade, Ramen (matte mauve) on my outer-v, Petal (ultra-metallic silver) on my lids and Kimono (ultra-metallic pink nude) as inner corner highlight. I was drawn to Ramen first but I was kind of disappointed that it isn't deep enough to be a true mauve because it looks like a perfect mauve shade. Petal is kind of sheer but still looks pretty all over the lids. I love this look and will try to perfect it the next time I do this.

For this second look, I wanted to explore with the yellow-toned shades. I used Sashimi (matte coral) as transition shade, Euno Park (matte burnt sienna) on the crease and outer-v, Koi Pond (matte sunset orange) all over the lids, and Dango (metallic golden copper) on inner half of the lids.  I thought that Euno Park is a brown matte with yellow undertone but it looks red on the eyelids. Koi Pond is a neutral yellow and it comes off so subtle on my lids. I thought it would be a nice custard yellow shade. I want to use this again all over the lids without using the pink shade to see if would come off more yellow on my eyes. Dango is such pretty shade and I want to explore this shade more.

For this third look, I created a red monotone look using only two shades from this palette. I used Sushi (matte burnt umber) on the crease and outer-v and Tokyo Tower (metallic reddish brown) all over the lids. Sushi is such a gorgeous deep red-toned shade to use as on a one shadow look. It so soft, blendable and can be built up for a smokey look. Tokyo Tower is also gorgeous metallic red-tone shade that looks good on my brown eyes. This is my favorite look and these are my favorite shades from this palette.

I also made a fourth look but I didn't take pictures because I felt lazy that day. Haha! I centred that look on a metallic bronze shade from this palette. I used Bloom (semi-matte pink with gold glitter) as transition shade, Fuji (matte dusty rose) on my crease and outer-v, and Tempura (metallic copper bronze) all over the lids. It was a pretty warm eyeshadow look and I liked it. I also remember using Sakura (semi-matte pink with silver glitter) on my crease when I recreated the first look I made.

If you like soft, girly pink shadows, I think you would love this palette. It easy to fit in makeup bags if you want to travel with this palette. If you have the other palettes from this collection, I really think that you will find similar shades from this palette. Is this palette a necessity? Definitely, not. You already have these shades from your warm-toned palettes. This is not the most unique palette but it looks so pretty and has a greater quality from their previous go-to palettes. You can use some of these matte shadows as blush if you have light to medium skin tones. Overall, I think this palette is a nice addition to my growing eyeshadow palette collection. As I have said, liking warm-toned eyeshadows when you are cool-toned eyeshadow lover is saying something. For the price of Php 480, I think it worth it.

I hope you find this post helpful in deciding if you want to buy this palette or not. I have also purchased a smaller from this brand and will feature it soon on this blog. Please stay safe always and thank you so much for stopping buy. Have a nice day.

Hi, guys! Today's post is very exciting because I am talking about the amazing progress I made on my Pan Those Eyeshadows 2020. I apologize for the late progress, I have been very busy with work since I am frontliner. Anyway, I have hit pan on 4 shadows that are included in this project and 1 bonus pan the past month. I feel like one of my talents is to hit pan on eyeshadows as I do it well and often considering that I am light-handed.

Focallure Sweet As Honey Palette - Champagne
The first shadow that I have hit pan is this matte champagne shadow which I have used as a transition shade on almost all my eye looks since I rolled this in. This eyeshadow is nothing special and it barely shows up on my eyelids. I think I have hit pan on this fastly because I have to apply 3 layers before this shows up on my skin. It is quite powdery and I was surprised that the pan is shallow, though each of these pans contain 1.5 grams of eyeshadow. I have used this 31 times before I have hit the pan.

Beauty Glazed Uranus Palette - Shade No. 4
Finally! I have hit pan on this dark shimmer green which took me an eternity to hit pan on. Haha! If you have seen in my Pan Those Eyeshadows 2020 Introduction, you know that this eyeshadow has been in here since the beginning of the project. It feels so satisfying to reach the pan of this eyeshadow since this is not the type of green I would reach out. I focused on this shadow the previous month and I am so happy that I reached my goal. I have used this 27 times since January before I have hit pan on this.

SACE Lady Natural Palette - Satisfaction
I have hit pan on this shimmery beige eyeshadow  which is included in this project. I forgot to tally my usage on this eyeshadow so I can't tell you how many times I have used this before hitting pan. Haha! I have also hit pan on this matte brown eyeshadow which I have used as a crease shade in most of my eye looks. I am so happy to have a bonus pan because hitting pan organically gives a different feeling.

ZOEVA En Taupe Palette - Handmade
Lastly, I have also hit pan on this duo chrome pink-gold shade which I have used on as highlight on my my inner lower lash line. I tried using this as a lid shade but it was underwhelming so I just used this a highlight shade. I am so proud of myself because I managed to hit pan on two highlight shades at the same week. Yay! I useed this 30 times before I have hit the pan.

UCANBE Marvel - Shade No. 7
This matte dark burgundy shadow will take me a while to hit pan on.This so pigmented and I don't need to use a lot in order for this to show up on my eyelids. I always incorporate this on my looks and I am finally seeing a dent which is so amazing. I have used this 22 times already since I rolled this is in but I don't have any idea how deep this pan is. I am not expecting to hit pan on this by the end of the month but maybe I can. Who knows?

ZOEVA En Taupe - Gallery and Outline
I have said before that I will be focusing on this palette this year and one of the shadows to include in this project will be from this palette. I have rolled-in Outline together with Handmade and I can finally see a dent. I haved used this 25 times already and I am crossing my fingers to hit pan on this by the end of the month.
To replace Handmade, I have randomly generated another shade from this palette and Gallery was picked. I have used this shadow quite a bit before rolling this is in and I have already made a dip. I might hit pan on this shadow by next month. Let's see about that.

SACE Lady Natural - Wicked Game
I may have hit two pans on this palette, but my random number generator have picked another shadow from this palette. For this round, I am rolling in this shimmery red shade. I have used this shadow in the past and I liked the outcome. I am not yet sure how I will incorporate this with the other shadows included in this project since I am working on taupe shadows. I might use this more on my lower lash line as an accent shade.

Pudaier Milky Way - Arctic
Another palette that is coming back is this pastel-themed palette which took a month of rest before rolling it in again. Haha! I have randomly generated this shimmery white eyeshadow and I am not excited nor disappointed; I am just surprised that all of the eyeshadows that I have, I have to roll-in another shimmery inner corner highlight shade. I find this really funny and I think my random number generator application is making fun of me. Haha!

Beauty Glazed Uranus  - Shade No. 8
Just when I thought I could roll-out this palette, I can't yet. Haha! My random number generator picked another shadow from this palette and I am not mad since my favorite shadow from this palette was chosen. I love this metallic olive green shade and I am excited to use this more and pair it with my taupe and red-toned shadows.

This is my color story for this round. It is kind of similar on my previous updates since warm shadows and greens are always being selected. Haha! I will find ways to use of all these shadows in a look and I will take pictures on the looks I will create.

How are your project pans doing? I hope you are all safe and healthy. I am enjoying this project and I feel so happy to hit pan 5 eyeshadows in a month since that rarely happens to me. I have an upcoming review on eyeshadow palettes that I recently bought and I am so excited to play with them. Did you have fun with this post? I hope you did since I was so excited to share this progress with you. Thank you for stopping by. Have a nice day. Stay safe.

Hey, guys! How are you? I hope you are all safe and still participating in the quarantine. As for me, I have to work since I am a government employee assigned under a social work department. I am kind of happy about that since I can wear makeup and have progress on my project pans, but I am also kind of worried for my health since I'll be exposed to people. Anyway, I'll be sharing with you today my thoughts about the Focallure Matte Lipsticks, the ones that look like chubby pencils. I have reviewed several Focallure makeup products in the past year and I like all of them. If you are interested on what I think about these lipsticks, just keep on reading.

From left to right: Nude Desert, Fuzzy Wuzzy, Chesnut

The first three I am about to talk are the ones that are included in the Kit 2 which contains nude shades. I love that this set contains all-nude shades but are distinct from each other. These feel like regular lipsticks but improved; opaque, creamy, thick and smooth. These are long lasting until you eat, like any regular bullet lipstick, which is actually fine since you can always re-apply. These feel so comfortable on the lips and they glide on smoothly. All of these have the same consistency and smell like chocolate-ish.

12 Chesnut

Chesnut is the darker nude in this kit and is perfect for work makeup. This pairs really well with smokey eyes that I always do since the neutral tone balances the rest of the makeup on my face. This has a hint of orange, just a little bit, and I think it would suit a lot of skin tones since it is opaque and covers my dark lips. I have applied lip balm underneath this lipstick but this is good on its own.

08 Fuzzy Wuzzy

This nude pink shade is so pretty and I know a lot of you will like this particular lipstick. I love how I can pair these with smokey and light eyeshadow looks. This is also suitable for everyday wear at work or school. It doesn't make me look dead, which is really important in formulating nude lipsticks, by the way.

I looked tired from work.
11 Nude Desert

Now, this Nude Desert lipstick is the best example of a perfect nude shade. It so light, barely there, but somehow doesn't make me look dead. This is the shade that will best  pair with those dark smokey looks. If you looking for the best nude lipstick, grab this one. This is the lipstick that made me say this is really thick and pigmented; it covered my dark lips with 2 layers. It doesn't look patchy on the lips even without a lip balm.

I am sorry for the bad lighting. It looks prettier on person.
If you love nude lipsticks and are looking for affordable options with good quality, purchase this kit. If you just want a particular shade, you can buy separately at the Focallure Shopee Official Store. They are currently selling the kit for Php 176, and Php 60 for individual shades. I think the kit is such a better deal. You regret getting it, I promise.:)

09 Rose Taupe

Lastly, I would like to mention this dark warm brown lipstick that looks so grungy and my most used out of the four that I own. I always pair this with smokey looks and I love the kind of edgy, bad bitch, and grungy feeling it gives me. If you love brown lipsticks, I think that you will love this as well.

As you can see, I love nudes and brown lipsticks. They are my favorites and I think I will gravitate towards them for a really long time. These lipsticks are worth the money since they have great quality, which I didn't expect because of the affordable. I thought that these will be just my regular lipstick, but they are actually better. I love that the consistency is the same on all of these and they don't smell cheap at all. I would totally recommend this to all of you since they have a great selection of shades and I am pretty sure you can find one that suits your taste more.

Do you own these lipsticks as well? What are your thoughts and experiences? Please share those with us by leaving a comment. I hope you enjoyed this post because I enjoyed testing these out and collecting my thoughts and experiences for me to share with you. I am always happy to share with you my affordable makeup finds and there are more posts to come. Thank you so much for stopping by. Stay safe. Have a nice day.
