Delightful Illusions

Ola! :) How are you, my dear readers? As you know, if you have been reading my blog posts, I'm already working. My schedule is very hectic nowadays since I'm also enrolled at a Graduate School. Sunday is the only day I have to do other matters. I will be honest with you, I might be inactive again. But, I'm never ever going to abandon this blog like what I did at my previous one. Haha! :) I'm still getting used to this busy routine, but I know I'm gonna make it. It just needs a little bit of adjustment.

Today, I will be posting about my top 3 favorite clothing brands as part of the 30 Day Beauty Blog Post Challenge. These brands that I'm about to feature can all be found all over the Philippines.

Check there clothes out: Kamiseta Online
First on my list is Kamiseta. They sell everyday basic clothes and limited edition pieces designed by some known designers. Their clothes are always unique, girly, and approriate for all ages. I know clothes in this store is expensive, ranging from Php 3000 - 500 (estimation only). But, once they have a sale, it's going crazy. Their branch at SM North Edsa always have a sale on all of their items, from 50%-70% off. Isn't that amazing?

Check there clothes out: Bayo Clothing
My top 2 is Bayo, this brand could be found everywhere. They are really growing big. Their clothes are perfect for work, if you are a career woman you will appreciate their designs. They also give 50% discount seasonally.

Check there clothes out: Crissa Jeans
If you are looking for affordable jeans that doesn't strectch and fade easily, definitely for for Crissa. They're jeans lasts for years with minimal fading only. I have a ankle-fit skinny pants from them, I use it all the time, but it didn't strecth at all. I actually featured it on one of my ootds, here: First OOTD: Pink Plaid and Skinny Jeans | June 07, 2013 .

Random Ramblings:
  • I was watching beauty videos when I remembered a certain vlogger. So I searched for her and immediately re-subscribed. I was scanning her videos when I stumbled upon on this certain video of hers talking about what happened to the Philippines. It made me cry because her message was so touching. See it for yourself. She's indeed beautiful inside and out.

Thanks for reading. Have a Blessed Sunday to all of you. Stay safe. XOXO and lots of love.

Hello! :) Today's post is about my favorite animal. I'm pretty sure it's not much of a surprise if I say that dog id my favorite animal. Most of people do love dogs. Generally, they are loving, fun to be with, intelligent and very playful. They are truly man's best friend. If you treat them right, they will be loyal to you and protect you with all their life.

Specifically, my favorite is pitbull. People would think that these pitties are really dangerous because of their lock-jaw capability. I think it's not something that you would be afraid of if you are an owner of a pitbull. They look scary in terms of physical apperance, but if you'll observere them for a long time, you will notice that they want to play most of the times. They make these funny noises and movements. A little scratch on the head and they make this cute faces telling something like: "Oooh, I like that. Please don't stop. Oh, on my tummy too. ^_^"  We have two of them and both are really fun to watch. We just cage them, but we let them out at times so they could enjoy too.

I have my own pitbull. Her name's Ashley, a hybrid between pitbull and rottweiler. I have her for 3 years and 8 months now. I just don't know why didn't she grew up like a really scary dog. Haha! Here are some of her pictures over the years. The last one's a recent video of her which I uploaded on YouTube. You can watch it on HD. :)

Random Ramblings:
  • I noticed that my camera shots good quality videos. Maybe I'll upload some beauty and fashion videos. What can you say, guys?
  • As always, I'm busy, busy, busy. I'll start working the week. Yay! :)
Thanks for reading. Have a nice day. Stay safe. XOXO and lots of love. ;)

Hi! ^_^ How are you, my dear lovely readers? There's a lot of stuff going on my life right now and I feel like I haven't been connected to you for a while even though I blog often times. For those of you who didn't know, I'm enrolled at the Graduate School, taking up M.A. in Guidance and Counseling. Also, I'm employed again! Yay! I'll just submit my employment requirements and I can already start working. Thank you so much God for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me. I also express my outmost gratitude to the people of the world  who gave donations to the victims of supertyphoon Yolanda/Haiyan. God Bless you all! :)

As you have noticed, I skipped Day 05 which is the Favorite Makeup Brand challenge. I can't make up my mind yet about this topic. It's hard to choose because I don't buy from a single brand. Give me some time. guys. I'll get back to that. :) Anyways, this challenge is to post anything Hello Kitty. I'm not sure if it's beauty realated or just Hello Kitty in general.

I chose to post this Hello Kitty container because thi is my favorite thing from my collection. Yeah, this kitty is my favorite cartoon character. :) I got this last year at SM North Edsa, somewhere around the sky garden. If you have been there last year around November-December, you would have most probably noticed the Hello Kitty overload. There were HK stands all over the place, it was like kitty is having a fiesta. Haha! Of course, I enjoyed the scenario. Going back, this was sold at Php199 and is licensed by the Sanrio Corporation. This was supposed to be a candy container, but since I don't eat a lot of candies, I stored clean wedge makeup sponges instead. It looks better on my stash. I tried to use this as a tumbler but it didn' work out pretty well. Plus, the water was dripping. :)

Hello Kitty  Candy Container

"Meooooooow..."

Cuteness overload.

The bottom is adorable.

Too much pink. Haha!
Random Ramblings:
  • I'm currently listening to Superstar by Jamelia. It's a nice song, sets the right attitude.
  • Pictures for the Shower Routine was just uploaded. It might be up in a few days. Haha!

Thank you so much for reading. Have a blessed Sunday! Stay safe. XOXO and lots of love. ;)

Hi! :) Do you like DI's new look? I was way too excited for the holidays, I already have winter decorations and falling snows (Go that from My Blogger Widgets: Snow Falling Effect). It's my dream to have a White Christmas someday. How about you? Anyways, this fourth day post is about my favorite foundation.

In my 3 years of being a makeup enthusiast, I still haven't found the foundation that perfectly suits my skin's type & color. It's either that I have picked something pinkish or something that my makes my skin more oily. This product I'm about to feature is currently not on my stash because my friend borrowed it but never gave it back. I'm just fortunate enough to have pictures of it as a remembrance. It sucks, I know. :| Repurchasing this is not yet on my plan because I want to try out other foundations from different brands. As an aspiring makeup artist (haha!), I need to explore various makeup brands.

Revlon ColorStay Foundation in Natural Beige (Combination/Oily Skin)

I immediately fell in love with this foundation the first time I have laid it on my bare skin. It's smooth, blendable and lightweight. It has a medium coverage and covers imperfections well. Though I might say that has a vanilla-ish smell, for others they say that it's paint. I used this during my pre-debut photoshoot (2010) and it lasted for the whole day with minimal oiliness. The photographer even remarked that this foundation is great. She noticed the lasting power it possess. The only complaint I have for this is the shade that the saleslady picked out for me. This has pink undertone which didn't match my light yellow skin. It comes off pinkish on my skin. Overall, this is closest to perfection.

Here's a photo using the foundation from the pictorial.
What are your product recommendations, guys? Can you share those to me? I'm still searching for nice makeup products to use. I hope you enjoy reading this. Have a nice day. Stay safe. XOXO and lots of love! :)

          Ola! ^_^

It's the 3rd post for the challenge. Yay! I surpassed the first 2 posts. That's an achievement for a busy blogger like me. :) My classes will officially start this Saturday, they were postponed last week because of the super typhoon. I'm deeply sorry for my fellow countrymen who were affected by Yolanda. I'm also thanking God for sparing us and for the low number of casualties here in our town. How I wish I have a lot of money to donate, but I'm giving away clothes instead. I'm praying for the guidance and strength for all of us. We can do this.

My favorite makeup brush is the eyeshadow brush from San San. I was surprised by the quality this because of their items didn't impress me. I got this 3 years ago and it's still in a good condition. I have washed this for countless and it stayed intact. I believe that this is made from hair as it is super soft, it doesn't feel synthetic. This is really good for blending shadows on the crease and applying highlight colors on the brow bone. I'm pretty sure they discontinued making brushes which is sad. I'm pleading that they would make brushes again with the same quality because I'll definitely buy all of them.

Stay tuned guys, I have a shower routine post coming up. My product empties is not yet done. There's a lot of products of to review and my brain is already farting. Haha! Thanks for reading. Have a nice day. Stay safe. XOXO

*No one is paying me to feature their products on this blog. These are my own and honest opinions.

        Ola! ^_^

The second day of the 30 Day Beauty Blog Challenge is to post about you favorite bag that you own.  I would say that I have an average amount of bags, not that many at all. I buy bags once in a while, mostly when I just need a new one. My love for totes is already over. It's time to grow and get something that's appropriate for my age and a little bit mature.

This black bag that's made in a faux leather material with gold-chained strap is my favorite so far. It's classy and somehow edgy. It goes well with pretty much anything. It's like a messenger bag but with a lady-like touch. I got this from my mommy's shop; she gets stuff from China and send those in here. We have this water business and a little boutique here in our town. I might be able to post a tour of our shop soon. I'll see about that.

The sad thing about cheap bags is that the inner lining is easily torn. I have some sturdy high-end bags but this one's the stylish. I don't care if it's cheap. :)

I'm sorry if I wasn't able to post yesterday. I was tired from strolling around the mall. I got some stuff for a job interview. :) Have a nice day. Stay safe, everyone. XOXO

A Blessed Sunday to everyone! I came home an hour ago from church. Today, I will officially start the 30 Day Blog Challenge which was popular back in 2011. I will be doing this finally, hoping I can get through this. The first on the list is to blog about your favorite eyeliner.

San San Gel Eyeliner (Black)
So far, this eyeliner from San San is my favorite. I don't if I have mentioned this before; I have a hate and relationship with their makeup products. But, this particular product is amazeballs. It's pigmented enough for it to be buildable. It's long lasting; stays all day long and does not smudge. This perfect for the lash line and waterline, though I find it really annoying for tight line as it transfers to the waterline. I use the Revlon Eye Liner Brush for this gel liner. Overall, it's great. :)

Excuse my amateur application. ~,~

It's a little bit dry by now because I had this way back in February.

I hope you try eyeliner, it's affordable. :)

Happy November! First post of the month! Yay. :) Have you visited your loved ones who already passed away? By the way, how's everybody's Halloween? Did you enjoy? Lucky you. I have actually never attended a Halloween Party in my 21 years of existence here on earth. Haha! I was supposed to but I'm currently busy right now and on the upcoming days. It was our "babang-luksa" on the 3rd. My classes will start this Saturday and I'm so excited to be at school again. :) Anyways, it is the time of  the month (a little bit later) for me to talk about my monthly favorites. I don't have a lot of stuff for October since I have been using the same products. There's no need to be redundant in discussing about products because I'm pretty sure you already get my point, right? This would be my shortest favorites post yet. If you are interested with the items that I'm about to show, then just keep on reading.

October Favorites

Purederm Make-up Cleasing Wipes with Aloe Extract

The best makeup wipes I've ever used in my entire life. It removes all of the makeup on my face, even waterproof ones. It leaves my skin feeling clean, like I just washed my face. It's moisturizing and smells good. The best thing about this is that it does not break me out. It contains natural ingredients such as aloe vera, lemon extract, cornflower, Ginkgo biloba, ginseng and Vitamin E. It seems to be safe for acne-prone skin. I recommend this to everybody, regardless of your skin type. I bought this at SM Department Store Beauty Section  for a pack two. Could also be found at Watsons.

Nichido Foundation Stick in Ivory

This has been doing wonders on my under eye dark circles for the past few months. I use this as a concealer rather than as a foundation. It's creamy, blendable and stays all day long. It has a peachy tone which is great for covering up dark circles. It's the shade "Ivory", which is supposed to be on the yellow category. But, I'm not complaining since the product is great. I thank Ning Hilario, Beauty Editor / JR Art Director of Meg, for featuring a similar product on the July issue. Hers was a concealer stick, I couldn't find one so I opted for the foundation. Check this out if you are looking for a good concealer.

Daiso Diamond Eyes in Purple

The brow powder is superb match for my Etude House Easy Brow Pencil (Dark Grey), which was featured on my June Favorites. The combination gives my brows a polished grooming; it looks natural on me. As I have mentioned before, I have medium-toned brows. Gray is definitely my go-to color for this part of my face. These two products are the bomb as they do not irritate my skin and stay on place for a long time.

Victoria's Secret Such A Flirt Fragrance Mist

This is one of my top fragrances from Victoria's Secret. This has fresh and floral notes; it's fruity, sweet, non-citrus and tropical. This contains starfruit and white orchid. The blends are incredible and nothing that is overwhelming. It reminds me of adolescence. I'm obsessed with the scent; feeling like I could use this forever and will not get sick of it. How I wish they would formulate a perfume version of this. I would definitely buy! I recommend getting this. :)

Meg magazine

Before I end this post, I would just love to inform you that my tweet was published on Meg magazine on the last month's issue. I was surprised and extremely ecstatic.:D  Oh my goodness! Thank you so much Meg!

And that's it for my October Favorites. I hope you enjoyed reading this. Comments really enlightens me and are always replied back. More posts coming, Have a nice day. Stay safe! XOXO

Hello, guys! How are you? I have been busy the past couple of weeks, from family events to school matters. I have also done some repainting of furniture on my room, I have redecorated it. I also shopped for Christmas decorations for our home. Holidays is in the atmosphere! Hoping I could blog about it soon.  I'm really sorry for the inactivity, I really do. :)

Hoop earrings have been in trends for an endless time. They are popular from then until now; very fashionable and looks classy. They give a polished look in almost any outfit they are matched with. I have collected a lot of these way back during my college days. Unfortunately, I lost most of them and these are what's left on my collection. I used to buy plain silver hoops, but then I've seen daring ones from various people so I bought different styles. I was inspired by JoJo to wear hoops, she's one of my fashion inspirations actually.

I got this black pair at Broadway Gems for Php 20 a few years ago. Michelle Phan was my inspiration for this; she was a wearing black hoop at her Mascara Business Card Trick video. It rocked on her so I looked one for myself. I couldn't find a round one so I opted for this flower-shaped pair. By the way, MP rocks back then. I don't watch her videos anymore. :(

These blue hoops are from Shop and Match. If I'm not mistaken, this was around Php 12. I got this pair during the summertime. Thought this was really cute because of the chain attached to it. There were other colors available but this was the most appealing to me. Perfect for the beach.

These next two pairs are from the brand Angelina; it was available at Robinson's Department (Iloilo) back then. I think this was Php 50 each. I bought these way back in 2011. These are thicker than usual hoops, giving a retro vibe. I got them in hot pink and red. I haven't actually used the red one still. Haha! :)

I got this recently at Ingmar (Marymart Mall). I lost all of my silver hoops so I bought a new one. I love the width and style. Perfect for casual and special occasions. My obsession this month.

This pair was from Jellybean, was originally Php 199 down to Php 50. Isn't that amazeballs? This has faux Swarovski colorful stones. It's thicker than usual. One of my favorites from this collection. Perfect for special occasions.

This is the most amazing hoops earring I ever owned! It looks classy, not trashy. The dangling flower chains are gorgeous. I just wish I got this as a genuine gold jewelry. This pair was from Forever 21, from Php 285 down to Php 99. I remember Britney Spears wearing something like this at her I'm A Slave 4 U music video. Her hoops is even more fabulous. Check the video. :)

This pair is some sort of like a Tibetan / Bohemian inspired. I cannot exactly explain what this is. It looks fab but I haven't worn this yet. Haha! I need more inspirations. This was also from Shop&Match.

That's all for this collection. If you want to see these earring worn one by one, check my Instagram account. My links are listed on the sidebar and below this post. I gave away half of my accessories because it's trashing my room. I've done some cleaning a few months ago. I'm considering collecting genuine jewelry for investments. What do you think guys? I have a product empties post coming up. Thank you so much for reading. Talk to you soon. Have a nice day. Stay safe. XOXO
