Delightful Illusions

Hi! :D Oh my gosh, I was inactive for almost 2 months. I am really ridiculous. How can I do that to my blog? I'm always away and just being lazy. I'm sorry, guys. I know I've said this like every time I update but I'm still apologizing because I feel that it's appropriate to do so. Especially to those readers who check on this blog regularly. :) Anyways, I've been everywhere for the last two months. Travelling here, there and any where. I was always on the beach before my vacation was over and I got tan. Isn't it cool? Anyways, my classes on the graduate school have officially started so I'm telling you that I will be busy with paper works and reports again. I'm not quite sure I can post on a weekly basis. Hehe! :)

It is the time of the month for me to talk about my monthly favorites. For this month, I don't have any makeup items because; 1.) I've been using the same stuff and, 2.) I got sun-burnt skin resulting of continuous swimming trips. Makeup is not really necessary when you are at the pool or beach because it will just come off and you will look like a hot mess. We wouldn't want that, right? I only use sun block with high SPF on the water. :)

Beauty

Esfolio Egg Cleansing Foam
This is one product that is meant for dry skin but works great with oily skin too. As far as I can remember, this is the only facial foam that didn't break me out. NOT EVEN A SINGLE ZIT. Would you believe that? It's amazing! It's a deep cleansing foam that targets your pores and do some refining job. I cannot even stress out how great this product is. After using this, my skin feels squeaky clean and smooth. What's good about this is that it doesn't have a strong smell. My cousin bought this for me when their class had a trip on Korea. I'll try my best to find sites where you can buy this. I'll have it posted on my Luvocray account.

Monea Curl Defining Milk Hair Lotion
A hair styling product that does wonder with curls, waves and permed tresses. I have to admit, I had a love-hate relationship towards this product because I felt like it wasn't actually working and that it makes my hair sticky. I discontinued using this, then use it again, vice versa. When I ran out with my Dove hair mousse for curls, I forced myself to use this again. After a few uses, I started liking this. I noticed that even when I combed my curls and they're getting loose, this hair lotion forms them back with just a few scrunches. The scent lasts all day so it's a plus. You can get this at Watson's for 99 bucks.

Book

Beauty Rules by Bobbi Brown
This book contains everything you need to know in the name of beauty. From skin care, basic makeup, beauty inspirations, embracing flaws, life lessons, and just being beautiful inside and out. Its a all in one book that will make you engrossed for hours. It's an easy read and very comprehensive. I salute you, Bobbi! Thank you for making this book. I feel like we have the same beauty philosophy and approach. I love natural makeup no matter what age is. I was so happy when I found this at Booksale for only 65 bucks. It's in a good condition with minimal scratches. I recommend buying this immediately. It's a must read!

Game

I'm addicted to this game! I know, this came ages and ages ago. Haha! I'm too old for this stuff and I don't mind at all. You know, I'm Harry Potter fanatic. If you want a fun game to do, I suggest getting this.

Find my favorites in my Luvocracy account: June 2014 Favorites. I'm planning to blog about my trip on Gigantes Islands, Carles, Iloilo soon. I hope I won't be too lazy. The place is a total stun. :) I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice ahead. Stay safe. XOXO

Happy November! First post of the month! Yay. :) Have you visited your loved ones who already passed away? By the way, how's everybody's Halloween? Did you enjoy? Lucky you. I have actually never attended a Halloween Party in my 21 years of existence here on earth. Haha! I was supposed to but I'm currently busy right now and on the upcoming days. It was our "babang-luksa" on the 3rd. My classes will start this Saturday and I'm so excited to be at school again. :) Anyways, it is the time of  the month (a little bit later) for me to talk about my monthly favorites. I don't have a lot of stuff for October since I have been using the same products. There's no need to be redundant in discussing about products because I'm pretty sure you already get my point, right? This would be my shortest favorites post yet. If you are interested with the items that I'm about to show, then just keep on reading.

October Favorites

Purederm Make-up Cleasing Wipes with Aloe Extract

The best makeup wipes I've ever used in my entire life. It removes all of the makeup on my face, even waterproof ones. It leaves my skin feeling clean, like I just washed my face. It's moisturizing and smells good. The best thing about this is that it does not break me out. It contains natural ingredients such as aloe vera, lemon extract, cornflower, Ginkgo biloba, ginseng and Vitamin E. It seems to be safe for acne-prone skin. I recommend this to everybody, regardless of your skin type. I bought this at SM Department Store Beauty Section  for a pack two. Could also be found at Watsons.

Nichido Foundation Stick in Ivory

This has been doing wonders on my under eye dark circles for the past few months. I use this as a concealer rather than as a foundation. It's creamy, blendable and stays all day long. It has a peachy tone which is great for covering up dark circles. It's the shade "Ivory", which is supposed to be on the yellow category. But, I'm not complaining since the product is great. I thank Ning Hilario, Beauty Editor / JR Art Director of Meg, for featuring a similar product on the July issue. Hers was a concealer stick, I couldn't find one so I opted for the foundation. Check this out if you are looking for a good concealer.

Daiso Diamond Eyes in Purple

The brow powder is superb match for my Etude House Easy Brow Pencil (Dark Grey), which was featured on my June Favorites. The combination gives my brows a polished grooming; it looks natural on me. As I have mentioned before, I have medium-toned brows. Gray is definitely my go-to color for this part of my face. These two products are the bomb as they do not irritate my skin and stay on place for a long time.

Victoria's Secret Such A Flirt Fragrance Mist

This is one of my top fragrances from Victoria's Secret. This has fresh and floral notes; it's fruity, sweet, non-citrus and tropical. This contains starfruit and white orchid. The blends are incredible and nothing that is overwhelming. It reminds me of adolescence. I'm obsessed with the scent; feeling like I could use this forever and will not get sick of it. How I wish they would formulate a perfume version of this. I would definitely buy! I recommend getting this. :)

Meg magazine

Before I end this post, I would just love to inform you that my tweet was published on Meg magazine on the last month's issue. I was surprised and extremely ecstatic.:D  Oh my goodness! Thank you so much Meg!

And that's it for my October Favorites. I hope you enjoyed reading this. Comments really enlightens me and are always replied back. More posts coming, Have a nice day. Stay safe! XOXO

Ola! ^_^ The time has come for me to talk about my monthly favorites. Did anyone notice how September flew by faster than the previous months? I'm feeling lost. Haha! Anyways, how's your September? Mine's pretty stressful I was exhausted by the first two weeks of the month and my mind was drained because of the tasks that was given to me. I'm not feeling well right now because of a growing wisdom tooth. Such a pain in the ass if you ask me. Haha! Then, I have a soar throat that became a fever. I'm hoping to recover soon. Let's get started before I could blabber forever. :D

By the way, I have already contacted the winner of my giveaway. She wasn't able to claim her prizes because she didn't respond. I'll pick another winner. Check your inbox, it might be you.

Makeup

For makeup, I have some new favorites from brand I haven't tried before. I'm really excited to show them to you, guys!

Maybelline Eyestudio Marbleized Eyeshadow Duo in Mocha Mirage
Oh my goodness, this duo is fantastic! The colors compliment each other. The marbleized pink on the lids and bronze on the crease. I've never been a fan of pink eye shadows before because I think they give agitating look. I don't know, maybe it's just me. But, the pink shadow on this pan is superb. It comes out as a taupe pink with gold and silver reflex. A little bit sparkly, has some glitters. I even think that the texture is smoother than MAC's Lustre finish. More refined glitters and doesn't feel rough. The solid shade is also silky smooth. Silkier than a MAC Veluxe Pearl. The pigmentation is great and stays for a long time with a primer. This duo makes a a lazy eye look when worn alone. I've never tried Maybelline makeup products before because I was reluctant about their line. Nothing really interests me, but this Eyestudio line seems to impress. I'm intrigued about the rest of the line. I might be able to try some of their other products. I'll see. =)

MAC Eyeshadow in All That Glitters (Veluxe Pearl)
An old favorite. Haha! The infamous and one of the most sought after eye shadow from the beauty community. I think that everyone has this. I'm not going to talk so much about this because I'm sure that you have already heard and read about this for a million times. Am I right? This is the perfect shade for your everyday lid shadow. Not overwhelming and goes on with a lot of shades. It's buildable and versatile. I use this with the Mocha Mirage duo, giving me a polished look which pops my eyes. The shadow is beautiful on its own. This is a product worth investing your money in.

Careline Magic Lipstick in Avatar
Honestly, I never thought the day would come that I will be mentioning a Careline makeup item on any of my monthly favorites. I was really hesitant to use Ever Bilena (Careline's under them) products because my instincts told me that they have cheap quality because they're made from China. I was wrong and obviously biased on my judgment. Sorry, my bad. :| Anyways, this lippy is the bomb. Glides on the lips smoothly, it's like a jelly. Incredibly moisturizing, unbelievable staying power and has an amazing color payoff. The best thing about this? It's only Php 75. Who wouldn't want that? I saw this first on Meg magazine (Meg Promotions section) and was instantly urged to try this. I'm glad I just did. I'll make an in-depth review soon. I have so much to tell about this product. Good job, Careline! \m/

Etude House Look At My Lips Lipstick (4)
Another resurrecting favorite makeup. A basic bright baby pink shade. Smells really yummy; a combination of peaches and mangoes. This is a lip color that you usually see on Korean actresses. I've seen Song Hye Kyo applying a similar lip color on Full House (Korean drama). The shade was really appealing to me so I bought a similar one. I failed to put in my mind that we have different undertones and the color might not work on me. This washes out my skin color when worn alone on my lips. Since I don't want to waste this, I put this on top of Careline's Avatar to have a pop of pink on my look. I feel like I'm a Barbie doll with this combination. Actually, I don't apply lip gloss most of the times on this combo because both of them are moisturizing. This is the only lip combo I've worn the previous month.

Ever Bilena Advance HD Waterproof Mascara in Rich Black
Quite big, huh? Unusual size for a drugstore mascara. Honestly speaking, there's nothing HD on this product. Isn't dramatic at all. I don't know why it's labelled as "HD". When I apply this on my lashes, it looks just like a regular waterproof mascara. The only thing I love about this is that the longer you use this product it becomes clump-free. It's long lasting and doesn't get messy even if it's still wet. It lengthens and separates lashes well. I think it's a good everyday go-to mascara.

Fashion

If you have been reading my blog for the past few months, you have probably noticed that I always wear gold accessories and pieces of jewelry. The past month has been different. I've worn silver ones a lot. I guess my love for silver has occurred again.

Love Necklace
Super love this necklace.Looks good on any outfit that I wear. A dainty pendant necklace with faux diamonds. Nice fashion jewelry for everyday wear. I got this from Shop and Match.

FENDI Watch
This is an authentic second hand watch that I bought from my aunt. I bought this for only Php 3000, way cheaper than the original price. This has been with me for two years now and the battery hasn't drained yet. The metal straps has holes to make it adjustable. This is great for me considering I have thin wrists. This is like a bracelet watch. Can be paired with other arm candies.

Nails

San San Nail Polish in Purple Breeze
The only nail lacquer that occupied my nails the previous month. This one received a lot of love from me already. I will not say much about this product because this was featured on my last blog post. If you want to find out more about this baby, check this post: NOTW: Purple Fantasy.

Bath Essentials

Head & Shoulders in Apple Fresh
The only anti-dandruff shampoo that satisfy my needs. It effectively cleanses my hair; removes itchiness, greasiness and makes my scalp feel refreshed. The smell is yummy, like a freshly picked green apple. I cannot recall exactly when did I start using Head and Shoulders. This a staple product of my life.

Quite a lengthy post, I would say. I want to make it up to you, my darlings. I'm sorry for the lack of updates. I'm currently working for my entrance on Graduate School. I've already taken the entrance examination and I'm waiting for the schedule of the interview. I'm nervous and excited! =D

Don't worry, more upcoming posts. If you have any requests, please let me know. One more thing, my Instagram account is active again. If you want to follow, my links are listed down below. Thank you so much for reading. Talk to you soon. Have a nice day. :) XOXO
