Delightful Illusions

Hi, guys! I'm Sylden. Welcome to my little world on the internet. Before anything else, I want greet everyone a Happy, Happy 30th! The year 2014 will be over in less than 48 hours and I still can't believe it. Haha! Isn't it crazy? How can time fly by so fast?? Anyways, today's post will be about my outfit of the day; we went to SM North Edsa earlier this day. My cousin Imred and I roamed around the Sky Garden, shopped a few things then ate at this restaurant that we just newly discovered which I will be talking about later. Today's weather is a little bit chilly, I almost froze at the mall. Haha!

For today's outfit, I wore something comfy yet so put together, at least in my opinion. Haha! I was inspired by Taylor Swift's style; blouse tucked in a high-waist shorts paired with flat shoes. I know that she usually wears oxfords and sneakers, but I prefer doll shoes. My top is from the brand Chelsea which I showed on my Zalora Haul. The fabric of this button down is made from chiffon; it's comfortable, thick and feels silky. I didn't even wear a bandeau or cami underneath because it not so see-through which I adore. My shorts is from ukay or thrift store and my shoes are from the brand My Tender Toes.

I told my cousin that we should pass by the Sky Garden in going to the The Block because I was freezing inside the mall. I asked her to take a picture of me on some parts of the garden and as you can see I was seating on this fake grass that the mall has provided for the visitors. Stepping on the real grass is prohibited. Haha! Behind are giant christmas balls and trees. Aren't they cute? :)

As we were done with shopping trip, we looked for a place to within the garden. By the way, I forgot to tell that the garden is like a kilometer long and it's full restaurants from one side to the other. The place is overwhelming. We passed by this restaurant called 8 Street Bites, the prices are incredibly affordable compared to others. We were craving for street foods so we didn't have any second thoughts on eating at this place. The ambiance is welcoming and feels like you're on the streets of New York, the staff are accomodating. If I am not mistaken, this restaurant is originated from the USA. Please correct me if I'm wrong. :)

There is a freedom wall where the customers can write their thoughts about the food, place, people and anything under the sun. The prices of food and drinks ranges from Php 48 - 300, nothing over Php 400. Their extra orders starts from Php 29. That is crazy! Unbelievable!

Imred ordered Php 78 Cheezy Fries, Php 88 Nachos (cheesy) and Php 48 Frostea. Her grand to total was Php 214 only. For these servings, the prices are too non-resistant. Who could?

Look how generous the serving was. The tomato dip is already included on the meal.

Cheese overload! The taste even gets better when you it with the spring onion. It tones down the sourness of the flavor. This is definitely a must-try!

We ordered the same drink which was the Frostea, basically an iced tea topped with fine crushed ice. It's nothing to lemon nor watery. It's just plain perfect. I am not even joking. :)

This was what I ordered, the Php 99 Freeway Nachos . I also ordered a Php 68 Tiramisu which was not included on the pictures because my camera's battery went on empty. I was surprised to see that I finished the whole plate. I can't usually eat the entire plate of what I'm ordering on various restaurants. Haha! The nachos were topped with tomato salsa, spring onions, beans, dressing, meat and basil leaves.

If you ever eat on 8 Street Bites, get this first. It's delicious and you won't regret a single moment. This is heaven for me. Haha! I will be going back before I go home. I'll mark that on my "to-dos".

This is it for today. I hope you enjoyed looking at the pictures and be convinced to try what I recommended. Haha! This is in no way a compensated feature. I love what I share. Thanks for stopping by. I'll talk to you after New Year. Take care. Have fun. Stay safe. Love you all!

Happy Holidays! :) How was your Christmas, guys? I'm sorry for being inactive this couple of weeks, I was busy with work. I'm currently here in Quezon City, Manila to celebrate the rest of the Christmas break with my aunt and cousins. Anyways, I'll be post my  "What I Got for the Holidays 2014" soon and will be followed by a Holiday Shopping post. Haha! I have noticed that nobody entered my giveaway (☃✉❅_Happy Holidays Giveaway 2014_☃✉❅)  yet so I'm gonna extend it until January 10. I hope somebody will enter. :) Haha!

It is the time of the year to do another "empties" post, it's basically a quick review of the beauty products I have finished and decide whether I would repurchase them or not. I have posted the first one way back in July; ✔✔ Product Empties ✔✔ I promise not to make this really long as it is tiring to read a really. Haha! I will make this short and concise.

In no particular order, I'll start with this Shokubutsu Hana Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, which came out on the market earlier this year. I was curious about this brand so I tried this formula. I don't like this because it makes my scalp itchy and it doesn't fight dandruff. I will not repurchase this. Head and Shoulders is still the number anti-dandruff shampoo for me. :)

Again, I bought this Naturals by Watsons Argan Oil Conditioner out of curiosity. It's nice, makes my hair feel soft right after I rinse it. I have neutral opinion with this product because I haven't used it with its matching shampoo. I cannot give a reliable review. I like this but I will not buy this again because I have a plentiful of pure Argan Oil bought straight from Morocco. ;)

Schwarzkopf Q10 Recharge Conditioner is by the far the best conditioner I have ever tried. It makes my hair soft, smooth and shiny. How I wish I could repurchase this, this isn't available at drugstores or groceries. If ever you see this rockstar, grab it. It's  worth the money.

I like this SIVANNA COLORS Waterproof Mascara. It has a natural look, great for school and work use. I won't repurchase this though because I want something that makes my lashes fuller. Drugstore mascaras are better by price and quality.

I don't what happened, but this Celeteque Acne Solutions Oil Control Toner didn't have a significant effect on my skin. After applying this, my skin feels a little sticky which I'm not comfortable with. It doesn't control oil, at least for me. I'm not gonna buy this again either.

Of course, I'll buy this PH Care Intimate Wash again. The best feminine wash in the drugstore. This is a need. Haha!

This Garnier BB Eye Roll-on is an innovation to the market. It's easy to use and very blendable. I'll buy this again if they ever have a sale and a shade that matches my skin.

I have other used up products that I have not shown to avoid redundancy. If you have any requests or suggestion please let me know. I'll talk to you soon. Enjoy the rest of the holidays. Love you all! XOXO

No, I didn't get married. My cousin was. Haha! I am anticipating that you would be thinking that I did get married basing on the title of this post. Haha! By the way, how's my fellow countrymen? Is everybody safe? Please take care, we might not know what would the Typhoon Ruby/Hagupit would bring to the Philippines. :)

Yesterday was my cousin's wedding, which we all felt happy for her considering that her age is already over at the calendar. :) Sorry, cousin. :D Anyways, that was just a civil wedding. I honestly didn't what would I wear since I know my cousins love to dress-up and I wasn't sure if they would wear something casual or semi-formal. Haha!

For the top, I decided to wear this cream-white chiffon sleeveless and tucked it in with a aqua blue circle skirt. As you can see, the top has pearl and faux rhine stones embellishment at the neckline. I didn't wear a necklace since the embellishment served as one. I got the skirt from Zalora, which I featured on my previous post: ZALORA - Pre Holiday Outlet Sale ( Up to 80% off).

My shoes wasn't originally this. I was wearing a silver ballet flats, but I saw that my cousins were wearing heels. So I a borrowed a wedge from my cousin. I didn't want to be out of place. Haha! :) These white wedges with ruffled ribbon-like and studded heels were from bought from eBay. II'm sorry, I forgot the brand. :D

My only accessories were a pair of ginormous pearl earring that I received as a gift from my cousin and a silver "balls" bracelet from my mom. My makeup was really simple since I was not the bride. I don't want to overdo it. Haha! :D

This the overall look. I think that the pieces pretty matched each other. Haha! What do you think? Did I do a good job? :) I was actually trying to imitate JoJo Levesque at this pose. It was a fail. Haha!

I wanna thank my boyfriend for being my photographer at this day's post. Thanks, baby! :* Haha! Please let me know if you have any requests, suggestions, comments, or anything. I'll try my best to do an action on it as soon as possible. Please take care and be safe. Let's pray for everybody's safety during Typhoon Ruby. Love you all. XOXO

Happy December 1st! Wow, time flies by really fast. In a few weeks it will already be 2015. A new chapter of our lives will be opened. Isn't that thrilling and exciting? Anyways, today I will be sharing with you my first shopping experience at ZALORA and the stuff that I got. What is ZALORA? In my own point of view, it is an online shop selling fashion, beauty, home stuff from various manufacturers in Asia and some other parts of the world. Their brands range from local sellers to international companies.  They also have this section called "MARKETPLACE" where independents can sell their items; like high end clothing pieces, pre-owned stuff and the like. ZALORA is actually really generous with discounts, they'll email you, if you are subscribed, with their special codes and flash sales.

Currently, they are having pre-holiday sale of 80% at most. I received a mail from them, they have given me a 20% discount code to use on my purchase. I never bought from them before until now. Haha! They also give Php 250 off upon subscribing, but I think your total purchase should be at least Php 1500. Anyways, I got felt that I should utilize the coupon code they gave me in order not to regret it at the end.  I needed clothes that I could use at the office and school so I grabbed sale opportunity.

I clicked the 80% Sale link and it brought me in to the section called OUTLET. It is basically a collection of goods from manufacturing companies who distribute excessive items and sell them for a lesser price. Then, ZALORA gave additional discounts so most of the items I got were half off the original price or even more.

CHEALSEA Abril Short Sleeve Blouse

The first thing that I got is a chiffon button-down collared blouse from the brand CHELSEA.  In the website, it looked a little bit on the violet side but in person it's gray. I'm not really sure with the pattern, but I think it's somewhat tribal. The fabric is soft and a little bit sheer. The sleeves are wide so I wore a bandeau underneath because I didn't want anybody to see my bra. That would be shameful. Haha! This was originally Php 959.99 down to Php 288.00. That's a saving of Php 671.99! This is already sold out and I couldn't find the link anymore. I'm sorry!

Spring Fling Julia Peep Toe Wedges

Then I got a pair of peeptoe wedges from the brand called Spring Fling. Actually, it was really hard to decide on what pair of shoes I wanted to buy since crazy sale was undeniably tempting. It's like most of the items in the site were shouting me saying: "Buy me!". I particularly chose this pair because of the feminine feel of the lace fabric with screen innings and espadrille heels. It has that native feel but looks classy and somewhat alluring. This is something that I could wear on work, school, daytime appointments and even soirees. This was originally Php 949 slashed down to Php 380. That's 60% savings!

F.101 Stesha Skirt

I also hauled this aqua blue banded elastic skirt from F.101 which had ai Php 100 off. It was originally Php 399 down to Php 299. Isn't it amazing? :D The main reason why purchased this is because of the contrast mesh design near the hemline. It adds sophistication to the simple circles skirt which I can in various occasions like weddings, seminars, parties, and even casual pairings. I provided a link directing to this item, just click the caption of the photo. Hurry up, it's the last piece. ;)

IMONO JEWELRY Stainless Steel Earrings

This paricular line of jewelry, IMONO JEWELRY, has impressed me with the quality of their products. I'm really with my purchase and I really liked what I picked up. This pair was priced from Php 175.57 to Php 149.75. Then, I used when my 20% coupon with this one because this was the only I have on my shopping bag has a regular price. So, I only paid Php129. 75 for this.

The package came with this black envelope containing my billing statement together with a return form. I though they were giving me a another voucher. Haha! Just kidding, Zalora! :)

This is my total bill, I qualified for the free shipping because my order went over Php 995. :) My total was supposed to be Php 2483.56, but because of the ginormous sale my total savings is Php 1397.56. That's even more than half! What a jackpot! :) The many tiring hours I spent on browsing the site was totally worth it. I'll be coming back for more! :)

Did you enjoyed this post? I did! Haha! Please visit Zalora for more sales. They are currently offering different discount codes everyday. What are waiting for? Grab the oppurtunity! :) Anyways, I'll talk to you soon. Stay safe. XOXO

Hello! How are you, my loves? I have been away for so long, almost 4 months! Gosh, I'm really really sorry for the inactivity. I have done this for so many times, but there were things happened the past few months that I need to prioritize. The main reason is that I got a job, I'm currently working at a National Government Agency. I'm not really sure if I could mention the department where I'm currently connected to, but maybe at least I can say what my position is. Hehe, :) I'm hired as a Regional Training Assistant, I basically co-facilitate various trainings and at times I host them. My life has been very busy with this work, I travel from different provinces from time to time to conduct series of training together with the other staff. I'm explaining this to you because I know that I need to justify my non-stop absence. :D The other reason of my inactivity was that the charger of my camera was misplaced. And then, its battery is giving up real soon. I hope I could find the time to buy a new battery so I could do more posts.

I celebrated my 22nd birthday last August, like 3 months ago. Haha! Geez. I feel old. :D Anyways, there's nothing much special with this post. I'll just share my birthday outfit because I'm obliging my self to update this blog. If you are interested, please go on. :)

I didn't do much anything on my birthday. Me and my family went to the mall and strolled around, ate snacks then went home. My mom bought me a cake from Red Ribbon. I forgot what flavor. Sorry, my bad. Haha! :) The funny thing about this cake is that I was the one who told the staff on what dedication she should write on. Mom was too lazy to think of the message. :D

For my birthday, I chose to wear something really bold, colorful and semi-bohemian. Let me tell you, this get-up was striking. Everybody was looking at my direction, like I was some kind of celebrity or what. I'm not even joking. Haha! What's with the people that day? I apologize for the awkward pose, I got nobody to take a picture of me. I used the timer on my camera. Haha! And in all fairness, I look petite on this photo. I think the filter compressed it. As you can see, I was wearing a crimson cotton cami and layered it with a lacy-floral chiffon vest on top. I wore a solid bright blue skinny fit pants and red wedges, which I have also posted on My Style: Bohemian Themed Day Party.

I got this vest from a thrift shop called Magarbo. It doesn't have a tag on it so I can't tell you the brand of this. I got this for Php 80.

This spaghetti-strapped top was also bought from the same store. This was from GAP, which we all know is an expensive brand. So this was a jackpot for the price of Php 80! Haha! I love the feel of this clothing, it's cotton.

And this was my face for my big day. My camera didn't pick my makeup. My hair was just simple and messy. Haha! :)

This was my "22" post.  I felt awkward at that moment because the people at the fountain were actually staring. Haha!

Did you like my outfit? Please let me know. I will be posting about my first purchase at ZALORA real soon. They are currently having a huge pre-holiday sale. Hurry up! :) I hope you enjoyed this post. Leave a comment if you have any message. I'll to talk to you soon. Stay safe, my gorgeous readers and guests. XOXO
