Delightful Illusions

Hi! :) So, today I will be talking about my face of the day. A makeup look that I have worn on church today. I think this the first time I'll be doing this, right? Anyways, I did a soft smokey look today. I was inspired by the look of Jennifer Lawrence, I watched her movie Silver Linings. The movie's great! :) I love her flawless complexion and dark sexy eye look. How I wish my camera picked up the colors greatly, but it didn't.

I started by applying a light moisturizer and a stick foundation. Concealed my dark circles and pores. Then filled in my brows with a dark grey pencil and powder. I started with my eyes by applying a nude primer and a pearly white base. Since I was going to the church, brightening my eyes was a better option. Haha! I applied a taupish-brown all over my lids and dark brown shade on my outer-v. Then I have put slightly, dabbed,  a black shade starting from the outer lid up to the center. A terracotta shade for the crease to deepen the look a little bit. I used a shimmery white eye shadow to highlight my brow bone and tear ducts. Black eyeliner on the upper lash line and water line. Finally, a coat of black mascara. I applied a matted peach blush powder on my cheeks a nude peach lipstick and berry lipgloss. I patted a little bit of powder foundation on my t-zone and forehead to eliminate shine. I wanted my eyes to standout so I toned down the other parts of my face.

Here's a closer look of my finished look. I took this with a flash. The photo above was taken with a natural light. My face is oily so I don't know how to eliminate 100% oil on my face. Haha!

And this is what it looks like in front. What do you think guys? Shall I make a tutorial? Let me know you thoughts. ;)

Have a blessed Sunday, everybody. Talk to you soon. Stay safe. XOXO

Hi! :D Oh my gosh, I was inactive for almost 2 months. I am really ridiculous. How can I do that to my blog? I'm always away and just being lazy. I'm sorry, guys. I know I've said this like every time I update but I'm still apologizing because I feel that it's appropriate to do so. Especially to those readers who check on this blog regularly. :) Anyways, I've been everywhere for the last two months. Travelling here, there and any where. I was always on the beach before my vacation was over and I got tan. Isn't it cool? Anyways, my classes on the graduate school have officially started so I'm telling you that I will be busy with paper works and reports again. I'm not quite sure I can post on a weekly basis. Hehe! :)

It is the time of the month for me to talk about my monthly favorites. For this month, I don't have any makeup items because; 1.) I've been using the same stuff and, 2.) I got sun-burnt skin resulting of continuous swimming trips. Makeup is not really necessary when you are at the pool or beach because it will just come off and you will look like a hot mess. We wouldn't want that, right? I only use sun block with high SPF on the water. :)

Beauty

Esfolio Egg Cleansing Foam
This is one product that is meant for dry skin but works great with oily skin too. As far as I can remember, this is the only facial foam that didn't break me out. NOT EVEN A SINGLE ZIT. Would you believe that? It's amazing! It's a deep cleansing foam that targets your pores and do some refining job. I cannot even stress out how great this product is. After using this, my skin feels squeaky clean and smooth. What's good about this is that it doesn't have a strong smell. My cousin bought this for me when their class had a trip on Korea. I'll try my best to find sites where you can buy this. I'll have it posted on my Luvocray account.

Monea Curl Defining Milk Hair Lotion
A hair styling product that does wonder with curls, waves and permed tresses. I have to admit, I had a love-hate relationship towards this product because I felt like it wasn't actually working and that it makes my hair sticky. I discontinued using this, then use it again, vice versa. When I ran out with my Dove hair mousse for curls, I forced myself to use this again. After a few uses, I started liking this. I noticed that even when I combed my curls and they're getting loose, this hair lotion forms them back with just a few scrunches. The scent lasts all day so it's a plus. You can get this at Watson's for 99 bucks.

Book

Beauty Rules by Bobbi Brown
This book contains everything you need to know in the name of beauty. From skin care, basic makeup, beauty inspirations, embracing flaws, life lessons, and just being beautiful inside and out. Its a all in one book that will make you engrossed for hours. It's an easy read and very comprehensive. I salute you, Bobbi! Thank you for making this book. I feel like we have the same beauty philosophy and approach. I love natural makeup no matter what age is. I was so happy when I found this at Booksale for only 65 bucks. It's in a good condition with minimal scratches. I recommend buying this immediately. It's a must read!

Game

I'm addicted to this game! I know, this came ages and ages ago. Haha! I'm too old for this stuff and I don't mind at all. You know, I'm Harry Potter fanatic. If you want a fun game to do, I suggest getting this.

Find my favorites in my Luvocracy account: June 2014 Favorites. I'm planning to blog about my trip on Gigantes Islands, Carles, Iloilo soon. I hope I won't be too lazy. The place is a total stun. :) I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice ahead. Stay safe. XOXO

Ola! ^_^ Yes, it's another Nail of the Week post. This week, I decided to use two different shades of green for a change. I have been using a lot of greens these days, even with eye liners and shadows. Green is an attractive color, giving an earthy vibe. This color has been listed on my official list of favorite colors. Haha! There's nothing fancy about this post, just plain nail polish with accent color in the same family.

The main color is shamrock green, which looks washed out on the photo but darker in person. This is Green Session from Allue. I know, this brand is from the teenage section of HBC. I can't help it, their color selections are vibrant and alluring. Haha! The color pay-off is great, the consistency rocks. One swipe is enough, two for intensity. In person, this shade looks a little bit muted but still pops.

For the accent color, I chose a light lime green shade from Wish. It doesn't have a name, but this is included in the Pastel Perfect Set. How I wish the pay-off was not sheer. I already applied double coats but look at that barely covered spot. It suck, right?

To cover the spot, I layered it with a glittered dark green polish. I think it goes well with the main color. What do you think?

Tada! Here's the finished look. This looks differently in person. My camera always does injustice. Why oh why?

And here's a random pose of my hand against the wall. Haha! :)

Products used:
Bobbie Premium Nail Creme in Jade (8mL) - Watsons, Department stores
Allue My First... Nail Color in Green Session - HBC Stores
Wish (Green), included in the Pastel Perfect Set - Watsons

So, that's it for today's post. Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment. Thanks for passing by. ;) Have a nice day. Stay safe. XOXO

Hi! It's been months since I posted about beauty products. Isn't that crazy? Sorry, my bad. :) I can't believe that April flew away too fast. What happened? Have I fallen asleep for weeks or what? Haha! Anyways, today I will share about new-in-my-stash-this-year beauty products. Some of them I have been using since January and some were just recently bought. These are not a lot, you know, I don't like being repetitive with the products I post. Plus, I got a new hair color which will be shown at the bottom part. ;)

Garnier Instant Fairness BB Eye Roll-on in Natural
This guy is amazing. It works great; it can be a skincare and makeup product at the same time. It's pretty new on the drugstore, I think this was released on the market on January. Watsons had a 30% discount on all of the Garnier products back then. I was curious about the brand so I hauled some on their items. Going back to the topic (hehe), this eye roll-on made the unwanted pigmentation (small dots) and fine lines on my undereye disappear. I was surprised when I checked my eyes one time. This does not really lighten the dark circles. I don't know, maybe it's just only me. The consistency of the product is thin; the shade is a little bit light. I apply this on my circles before concealer. The coverage is light so I need some more cover. I think this is a BB Cream for the eyes. I recommend storing it on a glass or something that stands to avoid spillage. Check this one. It's great.

San San Age Defense Lipstick in 03
The only lipstick I use since March. I'm obsessed! It's the perfect peachy nude lip color for me. It makes any make up look I make stand out. The formula is thick with some silver shimmers. The smell reminds me of a chocolate. This is a great match for my new hair color. Yay! ^_^ How I wish this long lasting.

AVON Cosmic Glimmerstick in Galactic Green
This is the most jaw-dropping, beautiful colored eyeliner I've ever seen yet. I'm not kidding, I promise. It's a mossy dark green with mutli-colored glitters. It is indeed galactical! Avon, how did you come up with this? It's magnetizing! It's not long-wearing on the waterline, but it also does not make me look like a vampire when it wears off. I mainly use this on my upper lash line and it looks good with taupe eye shadows. Hopefully I can make a tutorial featuring this rock star. \m/

Sivanna Colors Waterproof Mascara
My new favorite mascara -- Sivanna Colors. The application does really look natural, but not full. I love how it does not clump and stays all day long. It's perfect for office, where you don't need spidy lashes (Gosh!). My only complaint is that the mouth of the tube is too big. Unnecessary excess can't be avoided even with a stopper. A little bit annoying.
Wish Sky Blue Nail Polish
The only color I wore on my nails for the month of April. Warning: This is very addicting! I kept on looking my nails all the time because it looks cute, adorable and totally irresistible. This is not my favorite shade of blue but it totally rocks. Perfect for spring/summer. Love. Love. Love.

This my new hair color. Very light brown with blonde highlights. I apologize for the injustice made by my camera. This looks lighter during daytime. What do you think, guys? Do you like it? :)

What are your beauty products? Do you have any recommendations? Please leave a comment. I would love to know. :) Anyways, I started joining Zumba, like dance exercises. It's fun and I will come back this night. It's held on our town plaza. I think Zumba is popular on Philippines, being held nationwide. You should join, guys. Let's start getting fit and healthy. :) Have a nice day. Stay safe. XOXO

Our professor was discussing when she suddenly talked to me, asking; "Sylden, among this class, you are the last one to be picked as a leader. Have you been a leader of any group?" I was stunned by her question; hurt and offended. She's always like that to me. Whenever I recite, she immediately shuts me off. Like she doesn't want to hear my discussion anymore.
