Delightful Illusions

Hi! How's your Holy Week, guys? Any plans for Easter Sunday? My mom said we'll go to the beach tomorrow. I'm excited! It's been like forever since my last trip on the beach. Speaking of water, last Thursday (Maundy Thursday), me and my office mates went to a tour on a research institution and on a resort for a swimming trip.  It was quick plan since all of our planned trips were postponed due to a lot of circumstances. We've been stressed out by the enrollment and we just wanted a refreshing break from the endless works. It was the only day we are free so we grabbed the opportunity. Summer is already here in the Philippines. I tell you, it's freakin' hot in here even at nights.

Since I lost weight, my favorite swimsuit was already loose on me and I needed to buy a new one. I was on a budget (as always) but I needed a good quality piece of swim wear. My friends told me that we should go to Gaisano Mall, it's the nearest one from our office, and look for outfits that we'll wear on the trip. As I was browsing the swim wear section, I saw a pair that immediately caught my attention. It was not a regular two-piece, not the ones you normally see.

The top looks like a racer back bra with ruffled sleeves which extends at the top of the stomach. The bottom looks like cinched skater skirt. Totally cute and is decent at all! It has good quality, manufactured from a Japanese company and is originally 285 Yen. I think this one of the old stocks that wasn't sold and was delivered here. Another jackpot for me. :) The pattern resembles red and yellow strawberries hanging on stems. Seems tropical and is perfect for summer.

I bought this pair of royal blue slippers to match my tropical swimsuit. Aren't they cute? :D Anyways, I'll post about our tour next. I hope you'll stay tuned. I need to get ready for the High Mass. Have a happy summer. Stay safe. Enjoy! :) XOXO

Fashion is a hit or miss for me. It's something that I do too personally, bringing out my own style. To tell you honestly, I don't go with trends. They will cease anyways  I always buy classic and basic pieces that I could match with anything. I could boring and plain with fashion at times. "Comfort over fashion" is my motto. It depends on my mood too. There are days that I just want to be stocked with jeans, hoodies and sneakers for a while. There are days that I'm feeling the vibes to dress up and be girly. I'm not high-maintenance when it comes to fashion.

Last March 7, we had our Employee's Day as part of out institution's Foundation Week. I don't know I haven't told you yet but I work as Guidance Staff and Scholarship Coordinator. :) The theme was Bohemian, which is kind of my style. I decided not to by clothes for this party because I have lots of printed stuff on my wardrobe. I'm thrifty, you know. Haha!

This is the overall look of my outfit. Since I wanted to dress-up, I made preparations. I scouted for Boho items for weeks for me to create the look I wanted to wear. The Aztec-print, high-low dress was first seen on my the Mini Fashion Haul post. I love the quality of this piece even though it was pretty cheap. A little baggy, but didn't mess up with my wide physique. I love how flowy this dress is. I'll post more pictures at the bottom. :) *I'm sorry for the awkward pose. Not my thing.

These wedges were from Shoes Unlimited, a local brand, bought from Robinson's Department Store. Originally, the price was Php 1,499.75 but it was on sale for 50% off. Yay! I saved money again. Red is not my thing but this particular pair caught my attention and eventually my heart. The color combination looks really hot and unique. The taupe shade tones down the hotness of the red, the floral printed heels make this appropriate for Bohemian fashion. By the way, this is most probably 7 inches high. I was able to rock this the whole day, running errands. Isn't it amazing?

Accessories were my biggest dilemma in constructing this outfit. I actually bought a lot, I went crazy over these. I opted to wear this feather necklace with chains and faux diamonds. A little bit edgy put totally went good with the dress. For the ring, picked s stretchable one with brown bead stones. This is really random but I loved the outcome. For the earrings, I chose to wear crescent moon, gypsy-like, dangling pair. I find these really adorable. All of these are from Shop & Match.

Since my hair is already wavy, I didn't do anything about it. It's already Bohemian in nature. I lent my  hairband to my friend because it annoys me. It looks perfect on her though. I kept my makeup simple; my eye look was neutral and made my lips pop with fuchsia. I'm sorry for the blurred photo. :)

Hi! Did you miss me? :) I know, I know. I have been gone for too long again. I'm sorry, I really do. I have been busy with school and work. As always. Since it's officially Summer here in the Philippines, I can blog regularly. Yay! I'm free whatever I want to do since school is off. I didn't enroll in any Summer classes because I want to focus on this blog. The past month was a cray-cray; fun at the same time miserable. I have cried at work, my head ached so bad because if school works. I thought I'll go crazy. Haha!

Actually, I was supposed to post this last month. Due to my hectic schedule, I wasn't able to do so. Anyways, this red satchel is from Secosana which I bought last year January. This is the bag I am using at the moment. What I love about this particular bag is that it matches with any outfit, appropriate for many setups, and is conveniently roomy. It has a nice quality except for the zipper. I attached a monkey key chain to make a substitute zipper.

What's Inside?

  • Card Holder with Cards

I don't put cards on my wallet. I feel secured when they are apart. I got a pay card, ATM Card, Timezone (gaming arcade) load card, HBC Loyalty Card, BDO Rewards Card and Laking National Card.

  • Mini pouch for earphones and pens

I keep my pens and earphones in a pouch because I don't like them scrambled on my bag.

  • Beauty Bag

I bring toothbrush and stock a toothpaste on work to keep my breath fresh after eating lunch. I talk to a lot of people everyday so it's extremely necessary to brush my teeth. Haha! I also carry around with me various shades of lipsticks and lip glosses, lip conditioner, eyeshadow palette, blush palette, pressed powder, lip liner, eyeliner and makeup brushes.

  • MP3 Player

I love listening to music. My day does not feel complete without listening to music. :)

  • Planner/Logbook

Every busy person needs to have this. It's always nice to log your tasks done and plan ahead to keep you on track. At times, we tend to forget what we have done on the past.

  • Notebook and notes

To write down my assignments and outputs that needs to be passed. We don't have books because our professors has diverse resources. We only have hand outs.
  • Cologne and alcohol

To make me smell good and sanitized all day long.

  • Wallet

To keep my money in place and store my IDs. I forgot to take a photo of my wallet. Haha!

Did you like this post? Please suggest more topics because I'm running out. Haha! :) I really really want to blog makeup tutorials but I don't have a HQ camera. That's my big problem actually. I hope I can save up and buy a DSLR one. If you have any questions, please leave a comment. I'll try to answer as soon as I can. Wish me luck. I hope you're having a great. Talk to you soon. Stay safe. XOXO

Hi! :D How was your Valentine's Day? Mine was a regular working day, but we have some sort "feast" on our office, I think that was my date. Haha! Then my best bud surprised me with a balloon and a flower which made my day. :"> I apologize for not posting anything for V-day, I forgot to bring my camera at work. Sorry, my bad.

I have not posted about accessories for a long time. I guess this is the best time for me to post my bow collection as Spring is about to emerge on in the atmosphere. A lot of people are already starting to shop for Spring and Summer. Flowers are about to bloom, new fashion trends and much colorful environment!  Isn't it exciting?

As I have said, this is a hair bow collection post. Bows are charismatic props that makes us girly, youthful, and super attractive. I don't know, there's something with them that makes me love them. I love collecting bows, even if I use them just occasionally. I have worn some, you can see them at my 21st birthday and new years posts. Do you love bows, too? :)

This is how I organize these babies, except for the headband because that's stored in a different tray. Most of these was purchased way back then. I don't know if you can still buy these, maybe you can search something similar on your locals boutiques or online stores.

Coral and Navy Blue Polka Dot Clip from Shop & Match. Php 25

Studded Coral Bow Clip from Ingmar Boutique (Marymart Mall). Php 39

Sky Blue Polka Dots Clip from Shop and Match. Php 18

Flower Print with Faux Pearls Tie from SM Department Store. Php 25

Flower Print Hair Clips from Forever 21. Php 99

Polka Dot Bow Headband from Forever 21. Php 105

I love interacting with my readers and visitors. If you have something to say or share, please hit me a message or comment down below. I would be very much glad to talk to you. Thanks for visiting.                     Love is in the air, I see hearts everywhere. Valentine's Day is coming up -- within two days to be exact. Isn't it exciting? :) Haha! For the first time in my 21 years of existence, I got so excited for the V-day. What's up with me? Hmmm. :) Anyways, I was able to do my nails yesterday and I came up with a simple nail art that I will be wearing for the big day. I bought my outfit like a ago, I might post an outfit of the day. I'm sorry if this is the only post I have for the season of love, I had many ideas but they were not put into action. My apologies. ^_^

This is the final design I came up with.
As I have said, my finished work is simple, I just added some nail decorative stones. Red is too mainstream for Valentine's day so I opted for pink. Who's with me? Haha! Pink gives a youthful and lively vibe, like what I'm feeling right now. :D I used a Barbie pink color as a base for my nail art. You can use any shade of pink that you like if you decided to try/re-create this design.

To be a little bit different than the usual, I have put the nail decorations only on my thumbs and pinky fingers. These stones were actually posted on my What I Got For The Holidays post. If you are interested on where did get these, please visit the linked post. :) I placed that stones in a completely random order. As you can see, I filled up the whole space of a finger to make those selected to stand out. The decorations are reflective in person, my camera didn't give justice to the beauty of these.

Since the remaining fingers are pretty plain, I coated those with frosted lilac color. It's the Lilac Pearl from San San, which was was featured on my Purple Fantasy nail of the week post. Two coats for intensified reflection.

Final look. :)
Tips:
1. Let the base color dry for 20 minutes for a flawless canvas.
2. When the base had dried, put a top coat. Then put the stones in order that you like. press it hard enough to make it stay intact for at least a week.
3. Two coats of top coat over the decorations for longevity.
4. The nail art will last long depending on how careful you are. :)

 Products used:

  • BK 08 (Pink) Blueberry - online shops
  • Nail Art Stones - Chinese boutiques, online shops
  • San San Nail Polish in Lilac Pearl - HBC
  • My Polish Top Coat - beauty stores

Is this post helpful? Did you like my work? Please let me know by leaving a comment. I hope you enjoyed this post. Talk to you soon. Have a great day. Stay safe. XOXO with lots of love.
