Delightful Illusions

A Merry, Merry Christmas to all of you guys! I am hoping you are having a great time this season. :) I was thinking that before I share to you my "2015 Favorites", I have to do a Spotlight Review of this White Rain Boutique Collection Facial Cleanser and Makeup Remover first. In this review, I will be showing you a demonstration on how this product works. Just keep on reading. :)

Have you ever get tired of searching for a perfect makeup remover that removes everything? Removing waterproof makeup, especially mascara, is such a pain in the ass. I know that we all have tried different things; makeup wipes, cleansing oils, facial cleansers and a lot more. Though they are working effectively, we can still makeup residue left o our skin after scrubbing harshly. Don't you just hate that?

Way back in October, my friend and I checked a store called Branded For Less. It was my first time visiting the store and was amazed by the price range they have on the beauty products. It took me a while to decide on what should I try because they are like Php 99 pesos a piece. I honestly did not know what to get until I saw this facial cleanser. This was actually a random pick, not really interesting at all. Though I though a facial cleanser could come so I bought this.

When we got back to the hotel, I tried this baby. I was amazed the first time I tried this because it removed all of my eye makeup in just 10 seconds. Yep, 10 seconds! The instruction says to massage this on the skin to 30-60 seconds but the makeup vanished in just 10 seconds! Amazing! I was really impressed. The product itself is gentle and has that flowery smell which is not strong at all.

Here's an up-close picture of me (inside the bathroom) wearing a waterproof mascara. Waterproof mascaras are hard to take off oven with an oil-based makeup remover.

The products comes off as  transparent and liquid type of cleanser. I use a generous amount all over my face for precise cleansing.

Using the tip of my fingers, I concentrate first on my eyes because there's a lot of makeup in there. I rub the product in a circular motion and slightly scrubbing my eyelashes to remove the mascara.

In a few seconds, I can already see the mascara thoroughly being removed on my lashes.

After rubbing the both eyes, here's what the outcome looks like. You can see that the mascara is everywhere, which is a good thing, because it means that the product removed all of the makeup. Then I'll concentrate on my face to remove the rest of the makeup.

And here's a selfie showing you my makeup-free skin. My skins feels refreshed and hydrated after washing my face.

Overall, I think that is product is amazing for the price that is even more amazing. I know I have amazing but the product is AMAZING! Haha! I'm sorry, I'm really hyped right now. I recommend this to everybody because this suits every type of skin; I'm just not sure for sensitive but it says it's gentle so maybe you can try. :) The best thing about this is that it PARABEN-FREE. Yay! If you want to try this, check Amazon click here.

Please let me know if you ever try this product. Share us your thoughts and your experience by leaving a comment down below. Thank you so much for reading. Have a wonderful week. Happy Holidays! XOXO

Hey, guys! How's your Holiday Season going on? Anyways, I'm currently here in Manila, having my vacation until January 2. If you want a meetup somewhere here in Quezon City, just let me know because my schedule is kind of loose right now. Today, I'm to share the gifts I have purchased yesterday for my family at SM City North Edsa. It kinda felt like Black Friday yesterday; shops from Annex up to The Block are on great deals. I have purchased quite a few things and saved a lot of money at the same time. If you are looking for budget-friendly last minute gift ideas, just keep on reading. :)

❄ Essence Cosmetics Eyeliners

Essence Cosmetics is currently having a sale on most of their eye products; eye liners, eye pencils, and some lip liners which ranges from Php 75 - 100. I swatched mostly everything on the testers and picked up three things. These would be perfect gifts for family, friends and co-workers who love using makeup. These could also be stuffed on socks/stockings. These could be found at the Main Building's Department Store, around the beauty section.

❄ Home | Style Fleece Blanket and Microfiber Bath Towel

These home essentials are perfects gifts for people who loves traveling. The blankets feels soft and comfy; it costs only Php 165 and its dimensions are 50" x 60". The microfiber bath towel is also great for traveling because it isn't heavy to carry on and costs only Php 100. The blanket and towel are both lightweight. I found these stuff somewhere around the Main Building.

❄ MOGAO Shirts

Ah! I love these affordable shirts that MOGAO sells. They have this some sort of compartment where printed and detailed shirt are always sold for Php 99. These are perfect gifts for just everybody because they have array of selections for different styles and cuts. The MOGAO Boutique could be found at the Annex.

❄ Forever 21 Accessories

I always love to shop accessories at Forever 21, especially at the "clearance section" because I could find some really cheap deals. I am person who wouldn't pay so much on not so great quality items. I'm a wise and practical person when it come to shopping. I feel like Forever 21 is kind of pricey for their so-so quality. Though I really like their accessories which comes in different styles. These rings with a chain connector was originally Php 225 down to Php 109. :)

❄ LUX Body Wash Set

I know that you have probably heard the new collection LUX; their soaps and body washes. They have been advertising excessively for the past couple of months. If you are in a rush and do not really know what to give to a girl, just pick this set with a puff at Watsons. This only costs Php 125.

❄ LAB Works Hair Wax

If you are looking for gift to a guy and don't have any idea either, just pick this Buy 1 Get 1 Free hair waxes that could also be found at Watsons. I guess almost every guy uses wax so this is actually a safe gift. Haha! You'll only pay Php 159 pesos for two.

Those are all of the things I purchased yesterday at SM North Edsa. I hope you find this port helpful as I had fun on roaming around and browsing shops. So what are you waiting for!? Go! Shop! :) Thank you so much for reading. I'll talk to you soon. Have a nice. Stay safe. XOXO

Being a Graduate School student gives one privileges college students do not have. In our university, proper dress codes are strictly implemented. Undergraduates students are always being held by the guards at the gate if they are wearing shorts, above the knee skirts, dresses and such. Don't be surprised people, that's just how it goes here in the Philippines. We are conservative when it comes to school clothing. Haha! Anyways, I have worn a few times short skirts and dresses during my class (every Saturday) and the guard just let me pass because he knew I belong to the Graduate School Department. Graduate School students cannot be "touched"; they'll report them to the HR if they do. Haha!

Last week, I wore something dressy, something that stepped up the game a little bit. I wanted to look like I really belong to the Graduate School Department, something I wouldn't be mistaken for a college student.

I wore a blue umbrella-patterned baggy blouse with lace collar trimming from Forever 21. I wore a bandeau inside because I don't wanna go exposing my bra (Ewwwww!). Then I tucked the blouse in a a black circle skirt from Bayo, which is big for me because it's the size Large. This was the last piece when I got this by the way. I paired this ensemble with a brown flat pointed shoes from Solemate.

To complete the outfit, I went for a brown leatherette structured from Stradivarius. Fortunately, this is still available on their website and this is called the Rigid Bag (click for link). I love this bag so much, it goes with everything I wear. This gives a sophisticated accent to most outfits and it's spacious.

And here's just another random selfie that I took that day. I was intending to show my bag but it was out of the picture because I didn't have a selfie stick. Haha!

I was absent to my only class this day because I have a slight fever due to over fatigue. Aside from the fever, I am feeling pain on my thighs, back and feet. I just need some relaxation and I will feel better again.

Thank you so much for stopping by. It was nice to have a little bit of chit chat. I'm hoping you're having a great day. I'll talk to you soon. Stay safe. Lots of love and kisses.

The Holidays are coming and it is the time of the year to be festive. I will be starting this season with my nails by packing lots and lots of glitters and other sparkly things. I am so glad I will be able to share with you my Nails Of The Week, the type of posts I write about back then when I still have the time in the world. The last I posted something like was way back in January (10 months ago!), which is kind of inconsistency my part considering that I used to post a lot. Haha! That's life, we grow up and go on our own. We need to work for ourselves because we can't be dependent on our parents forever. Okay. Enough of blabbering. :)
Just this week, I purchased a couple nail lacquers from Watsons. Season-appropriate colors were my target as I wanted share posts about nails again. As I have searched the racks of the nail section, I spotted this some sort of cornflower blue shade. Sometimes, it appears to be more on the violet side, and sometimes more on the blue side. I thought this kind of resembles a White Christmas feeling. Isn't it cute? This is the Chic Nail Color in the color "Dreamer" from the Boho Chic Collection.

Going back to the main purpose of this post, I have applied this on my nails. I went for two coats for opacity. You could see the swatch of this product on the picture above.

Then I have layered my nails with two coats of this glittery nail polish called Bobbie Premium Nail Creme in the color "The Big Bang" (Glaze). As you can see in the swatch, it appears to be a grey glitter nail polish with octagon-shaped bigger glitters in different colors. I was expected a clear polish but I didn't mind. I thought this would a step up the combination a bit.

The combinations looks like this. It's kind of different, right? I love the outcome. It looks like s mermaid-inspired nails. Please excuse the mess, I will clean that later. Haha! How I wish you could see this in person. It looks prettier. I think the natural light might have washed out the colors.

Here's an another close-up shot of my finished nails. You can now see the colors better. By the way, I applied a top coat on the Dreamer nail polish before I layered it with the The Big Bang polish to have a smoother smoother look.

Do you like the combination as well? Do you want more posts like this? Please let me know by leaving a comment. If you have done something like this, please post a picture on Instagram and tag me. :) I will check your post. I hope you enjoyed this post. Thank you so much for reading and stopping. I'll post again soon. Have a nice day! Stay safe. Enjoy the holiday. XOXO

Hey, guy! Today, I'm going to show you which I have bought in October and some on November. All of these products are new for me to try except for one that is a repurchased item.  I got products from San San and Bobbie Cosmetics (which I thought was a new makeup line). This is going to be a quite long post so let's get right in to it.

The first thing I got was this Bobbie Cosmetics Poof! Concealer 03 which I purchase at a Robinson's Supermarket. I was thrilled when I first saw the display of Bobbie Cosmetics because I thought the brand was new to the industry. I was surprised that the prize range goes from PHP 100 - 300. Affordable, eh? I wen back to the grocery and scanned the products and see if what would I like to try first. I remembered that I needed a concealer so I picked up this one.

The packaging is girly with metallic baby pink casing. As I opened the product when I got home, I noticedn that the product itself is somewhat detached from its pan. I don't know this was poorly made or just old. The thing I got disappointed with is the shade, picked up the darkest shade instead of the medium one.

Anyways, I still swatched it and I was pleased with the thick, creamy consistency it has. I tried it on my dark circles and worked just fine. I was just hopinh that I got the right shade. I wouldn't put this on my face because it doesn't match my skin tone.

It comes with a mirror at the bottom part of the product which is good for focusing on areas you need to conceal. Longevity-wise, the product doesn't stay all day long; it fades throughout the day even when there's powder on top.

This concealer costs Php 100 which is pretty cheap for a local makeup brand. I don't love nor hate this product as I have decided my final verdict. This does not lasts all day long but isn't that bad either. I think I can look for ways on how will I work on this concealer. 😉

I went to HBC a few weeks ago to check on the new makeup products from San San. They have repackaged all of their products, I think more of upgrading the quality of look of the products. They also have a makep line, the San San HD High Definition.

I swatched some of their products but I decided to just get my holy grail product which is the San San Waterproof Thick Lash Mascara in Black. As you can see at the picture above, the packaging is new. The mettalic blue gray packaging and embossed lettering makes it look high-end and expensive.

Changes were also made on the applicator especially in the size of the bristles. It was used to be big fatty applicator which came down into a standard slim mascara brush. I didn't like how it applies the first time I used it. Maybe they reformulated it? I don't know. It gets clumpy and spreads on the eye area if I do a single flick. I have to wait for a few minutes for it to dry. Anyways, it's getting okay now. This mascara costs Php 125.

The next week, I went back to Robinson's Supermarket to get the Smoked Out! Eyeshadow Palette of Bobbie Cosmetics. I was debating over my self at first whether to buy get this or not. Do I need this? Is worth spending of my one day allowance? Is this a quality product?

I can'y control myself so I bought the palette. This one costs Php 215, pretty cheap for an eye shadow palette I say. They actually another palette which more on brown shades and costs the same. The other one has a tester so I took the chance of swatching the shadows. The texture felt cheap, like the ones made in China. This palette came with dual ended brush; the one side is like a shade brush and the other side is a standard applicator you always see on eye shadows.

The palette consists of 12 eyes shadows; half of it are more on grey shades and the other half are blues, brown and black. It's pretty much similar on the smokey palettes in terms of shade selection. I immediately swatched the shadows when I got home. I was disappointed with what the formula of the eye shadows. The matte shadows are barely pigmented and chalky. The metallic ones aren't intense at all, has glitter fall-outs, and chalky.

Swatches of the first 6 colors are shown on the picture above. Can you see the third shadow? No! The matte shadow look chalky.

The the other half of the palette has interesting colors in my opinion. I think that they are grouped together to make a great smokey look. What do you say?

I liked the blue shadow but I discovered that it shows more of dark blue-purple color. I have not tried all of these shadows yet but I can say that don't really show well once applied on the eyes and isn't really blendable. I don't regret buying this though as this is good for practicing smokey looks.

The last makeup shopping I did was a trip back on HBC. We had a regional event last week and I was on search for a good foundation that would make me look great. I went back to the store because I know they have affordable makeup that won't empty my wallet. Haha!

The sales lady said to try the San San HD High Definition Foundation. She browsed the display and picked up the Beige sampler. I pumped some on my the back of my hand and applied it on my bare face. I have noticed that it has mousse-like consistency, looks natural on my skin and covered my pores well.

What's good about this is that it come a pump applicator, really convenient for applying makeup and is hygienic. I decided to pick it up. For only Php 205, this is a steal.

What In also love about this is that it has SPF 30 with Vitamins A, C and E. It's medium to full coverage is good for photography as it looks nothing on the face.

The sales lady convinced me to get the powder as well but I didn't feel like shedding much money on makeup. I was planning to get a concealer for my blemishes so I bought this San San Concealer in Beige from the regular line.

I have tried this on my under eyes and it was too light. I have felt the lightweight feel and blendability so I picked it up as well.

I love the blue metallic packaging. It's sturdy as well. The product has SPF 15. Great! For Php 118, this is a steal again.

That's all of the makeup products I recently purchased. If you enjoyed this, please leave a comment below and maybe subscribe to this blog. :) I may post reviews on one or two of this products. Please let me know which should I review. Thank you so much for reading. Have a nice day guys. Stay Safe. Pray for the world.
