Delightful Illusions

Hello there, lovelies! I'm sorry if haven't been updating for 5 days. I'm currently busy with my newest cross stitch project. It's a Gryffindor logo that I have downloaded from The Leaky Cauldron. Anyways, I will be doing the 30 Beauty Questions Tag that I have seen from Make Up Mayhem. It's a nice tag consisting of beauty related questions, mostly about makeup. I'll try to be direct to the point as much as possible because I don't want this to be super lengthy. So without further ado, let's get started.

  • Do you remember your first makeup item?
Ummm.. I cannot exactly remember my first ever makeup item. When I was on my 3rd year on hisgh shcool, gave me a blue glitter eye shadow from AVON which I didn't use that much it was so unwearable for school. The first makeup item that I bought was Revlon Blush in Pinking of You from the A Floral Affair Collection.
  • Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications?
I have a natural thick, long and curly lashes. My perfect mascara would be something that isn't overwhelming and won't make my lashes look like a spider. One that  is enhancing, doesn't clump and waterproof. A little bit voluminous for dramatic effect. I have tried a lot of mascaras but never bought the same one because there's nothing that meets my standard. I think the closest one that fits my specifications is the one that i'm currently using, the San San Thick Lash Mascara. It makes my lashes volumized and I love how it separates the hair. It's long lasting and contains vitamins A, C & E.
  • What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?
Definitely, light to medium. I don't want to look fake and clownish. Heavy coverage foundations could be cakey, especially if you apply a finishing powder. I do use concealer and powder over foundation  so I prefer something that won't make me feel like I wear tons of makeup.
  • Favorite high end brand?
I cannot say that I do have a favorite high end brand I only have MAC eye shadows in the said category.
  • What cosmetic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?
Tarte! Oh my goodness, I'm dying to try this cosmetic line. I'm interested with their products because they are organic and o lot of people rave about them. Especially the Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush. I also want to try Urban Decay, Stila, Too Faced, Smashbox, Chanel and Benefit.

Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush in Glisten

  • Favorite drugstore brand?
Revlon! It's my first love. <3 Their products are great and most of them are high quality. In my own opinion, I think Revlon is the queen of drugstore makeup brands. I also use their makeup brushes, nail polishes and hair dyes.
  • Do you wear fake eyelashes?
               Nope. Not my thing. :)
  • Is there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house without?
I don't wear makeup everyday. But, if ever I'll leave our house, I always apply lippies before going outside.
  • What is your most cherished beauty product?
My MAC shadows. For the main reason that they're my most expensive makeup items. I'm really careful no to break them.
  • How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get lots of goodies at once?
Every once in a while, only when I need or running out of a certain product. I like picking up an item here and there because I go to various shops to purchase makeup.
  •  Do you have a "beauty budget" or you spend freely?
I do have a beauty budget. I don't go over Php1000 when I shop for makeup products at local stores. But, whenever i'm at Duty Free, I have a budget of $30 because I know cosmetics there costs less. I budget my money on makeup because i'm still looking for a job. Though I have money, I'm the kind of person who will rather splurge on clothes, shoes and bags. :)
  • Do you utilize coupons, rewards cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics?
Yes. Philippine local shops do not usually give coupons, it sucks. Hehe. But I do have rewards cards such as BDO Rewards Cards which I use on Watsons, I also a HBC exclusive membership card and a Pink Card from Etude House. I also utilize sales when I shop for cosmetics.
  • What type of product do you buy the most of?
Skincare and body products. I love putting on makeup but I love taking care of my skin more. I'm in an endless search for products that does effectively work on my skin type.
  • Is there a brand that you absolutely can't stand?
So far, none. But I do have a love and hate relationship with San San makeup products.
  • Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like parabens or sulfates?
I do avoid paraben as much as possible. Not really for sulfates. I love using organic products but their maintenance is costly. I'm searching for organic products that won't hurt my wallet.
  • Do you have a favorite place to shop for makeup?
Yes, it's Watsons. They carry various brands from local to international, even Korean and Japanese. I can everything that I need in there.
  • Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine?
Yes. As I said, i'm in an endless search for products that suits my skin type.
  • Favorite bath and body brand?
St. Ives! Their body washes and body lotions are the best that I've found on the drugstore! A little bit pricey but you'll get a lot of product and it lasts for months. Plus, they are semi-organic and paraben free. I also love their facial products.
  • If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose?
Tarte. As I said, their products are organic and high quality. They're eco-friendly and cruelty free.
  • What brand do you think has the best packaging?
As far as for the physical appearance goes, I say that Majolica Majorca has the cutest packaging. They look magical and at the same time girly. As for high quality packaging, I think MAC has the best packaging.
  • Which celebrity always has great makeup?
              Taylor Swift. <3

  • Do you belong to any online makeup communities?
Not anymore. I used to make beauty videos on YouTube 3 years ago but I decided to stop because I didn't had a HD camera back then and I was busy with my studies.
  • 5 Favorite Beauty Gurus
Julie Gutierrez (julieg713), Marlena Stell (MakeupGeekTV), Cora A. (vintageortacky), Promise Phan (dope111), Jessica Harlow (MissJessicaHarlow)
  • Do you like multi-functional products like lip and cheek stains?
Yes, I like them. I think that they are time and money saver.
  • Are you clumsy in putting makeup?
Nope. I'm careful in putting my makeup even if I have don't much time. It's always good to look clean.
  • Do you use makeup base/primer for the eyes?
I use both. Primer is a must since it will hold the eye shadows for a hours without creasing. Besides, bases mostly are in creamy formula. I love using bases because they give effects to the shadows, they could either tone down or intensify a look.
  • How many hair products do you use on a typical day?
I take a bath everyday, except when i'm sick. I use shampoo and conditioner. Since my hair is permed, I use a mousse to keen it my hair in place and would look like Hermione Granger. She's so pretty! Then I use a anti-frizz laminating spray for shine and damage treatment.
  • What do you apply first, concealer or foundation?
Foundation. I apply it first for an even toned canvas, then concealer for imperfections.
  • Do you ever consider taking makeup classes?
Yup, I always do. I've always wanted to enroll on a makeup school. But I know, I won't be allowed because I still have to take up Master's Degree in Psychology.
  • What do you love about makeup?
I love how makeup can enhance my face, make me look like alive and fresh. It boosts my confidence at many times.

So, yeah. That's it guys. I tried not make this very lengthy because I know that reading is tiring. I tag of all of you. If you do this, please send me your link so I can read it too. Thanks for reading. Have a great day. Talk to you soon. XOXO :)

Hi! :D Sunday is a family day, right? Me and my family spent this day by attending the mass and shopping. We headed to the Divine Mercy Shrine for a 9:00 am mass. Then we ate at Jollibee somewhere in Tabang, Bulacan. Lastly, we went to Clark, Pampanga to buy at groceries at Puregold, Duty Free. I bought some beauty products too, but those will be posted next time.

This is the first I will be doing an OOTD post. Please bear with me for the insufficient and not-so-detailed photos because we were in a hurry. So, without further ado, I'll show you now my outfit of the day. :)

Top: Pink Plaid Polo from Candie's
Bottom: Skinny Jeans from Crissa
Shoes: Doll Shoes from Solemate
Bag: Sling bag from Mags
Accessories: Same pieces shown in my previous post

Since we went attended mass, I decided something decent and comfortable. I love dressing up, but when I go shopping, I go for something comfortable. It wasn't that hot after all, so I'm loving the outfit. The top is super cute with lace detailing near the collar. The pants is comfy, the fabric is so soft and stretchable. The shoes is adorable too! :)

I wanna thank my cousin Imred for taking the pictures. Of course, the mini pictorial will not be complete with some random pictures. I feel really enlightened this day so I will encourage you all by giving smiles. No matter what you are going through, always smile. It's contagious and makes you feel better. It's absolutely free. :)

That's all for today. I hope you liked this post. More OOTDs to come. Tweet me your if you want. I like some fashion inspirations. Thanks reading. Have a great day ahead. Ciao! :D

Hello there! Welcome to my blog! Today, I will be talking about my June favorites. As you know, June flew by so fast. It was just snapping my fingers, then, voila! It's gone. Anyways, I really enjoyed the past month, how about you? Okay, enough of blabbering. Let's get to the main topic of this post.

The first one is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Lovesick. I saw this lippy fist on YouTube, shown by a particular vlogger which I forgot. She raved about this product because of the long staying power of the stain. And yes, the stain lasts for hours. I love this because of the moisturizing and buildable consistency that it possess. The balm easily fades but as I said, the stain lasts. I plan to purchase the other shades. If you ever pass by these lippies, go and grab them! You won't be disappointed. :)

The next product I will be talking about is the Etude House Easy Brow Pencil in #4 Dark Gray. As the name of the product says, it's easy to apply. This doesn't have an opaque color which I really like because it looks natural on my brows. It's pretty much long lasting and the shape of the brows stays for hours.

The last makeup product I'm gonna talk about is the Glam Works Makeup Cleansing Wipes. It removes the makeup on my face with ease. It can also remove the waterproof mascara which seems really amazing considering that this is a drugstore item and it has a cheap price. It doesn't break me out or clog my pore. Two thumbs up for this product.

So were done with the makeup stuff. Let's now proceed to the skincare products. First is this Clean & Clear Deep Action Oil Control Cleanser. With this product, I can finally say that I've found what I've been looking for in a cleanser. It cleanses my face well, it smells good and it isn't drying. After washing, my skin feels clean, fresh and no trace of oil. Like it has been vacuumed. I'm happy that I paid for the product and not for the name.

My last favorite skincare product for this month is the Dove White Beauty Bar Soap. Oh my goodness! This soap is a skin saver! After just one week of using it, I've seen and felt the difference on my skin. My skin was dry and it looked flaky. But, after continuous use of this product, my skin got smooth and feels silky. The commercials speak the truth about the Dove Beauty Bars. You should try it and see it for yourself. You have seen on my previous haul post that I bought a pack of 8 of this soap. That's how I love this products!

Okay, were now done with the beauty stuff. I'll now about some of my fashion favorites. Lately, I've been wearing these 3 items together a lot. One is a ring that I bought myself a while ago. It's dainty and supah cute. I've worn this countless times. It looks like a small tiara on my finger. The other piece is a gold watch that my mama gave to me. I love how my outfit looks polished when I wear this. And the last piece is a faux rose gold bow necklace which I got from Forever 21. I have also shown this on my haul post. These pieces goes with any outfit I wear.

Lastly, I want to inform you all bout this fashion website that I have been for almost everyday. It's called Fashiolista  - a site where you can fashion finds on various online stores. Other people can see your loved items and can love them too which is really cool. You can also win items sponsored by different shops. If you are interested, visit the site for further details about Fashiolista. The membership is free. :)

That's it, my darlings. I know this post is lengthy. I'm sorry, but I really love talking. Hehe! :) If you have tried products that you want to share with me, please tell me by posting a comment on this post or by tweeting me. My links are listed at the left sidebar. Thank you so much for dropping by. Talk to you soon. Have a great day! :)

Hello! First of all, I want to apologize for being inactive the past week. I got sick, my fever was on and off, my muscles ached and I got rashes all over my body. I thought it was dengue because I was bitten by a mosquito on my right leg last Monday morning. A CBC test was done and thankfully, it was negative. My mom said it could be German measles because they have similar symptoms. I'm doing well know though my joints still ache a bit. :)

Today, I'm going to show you the fashion items and beauty products I bought recently. I went back and forth to the mall these past couple of weeks to search and buy items that were on sale. SM North Edsa had a huge sale which started last last week. All of the boutiques had discounts and I couldn't just let it pass because I'm a shopaholic and discount is my best friend. Please be reminded that I didn't get these items in one day and I'm in no way bragging.

Last June 12, Independence Day, I bought a dark maroon minaudiere from Mags. I wanted a bag like this for so long because I'm tired of bringing big ones when I go shopping. I wanted something that's easy to carry on my shoulders but still look stylish. I opted for this one because it's simply cute and would look good on any outfit. It was originally around 800 bucks but they had 10% discount on their bags. I'm sorry, I forgot the exact prices. :)

We went back to the mall  during Father's Day and they still had sale and so I didn't let the opportunity to pass. I was eyeing the buy 1 take 1 for Php 495  promo of Jellybean and I've seen at my previous visit that most of them were bottoms. I decided to go back and purchase jeans because I haven't bought one in more than half a year.  I went there and tried some of their pants. Nothing would fit me and they were running out of stock. So, I searched again and I found a maxi skirt and a cotton flare pants. I didn't like either of them on me because still nothing looked good on me. I really wanted to avail the promo so I searched again. I found two skirts that I thought would look well on me and I bought them. No more fitting because I was already tired. Hehe! :D

Then, this Sunday I went to SM again to score on some cute items. I was strolling around and got dizzy because the mall is always crowded with people. I decided to check Forever 21's accessories. I got a pale faux gold bow necklace for 105 bucks. It's adorable and delicate. Perfect for everyday wear!

Then I went to Genevieve Gozum to buy some cute belts. I was eager to have belts fitted on my waist for accenting my dresses. And luckily, I saw this skinny stretchy belts for 50 bucks each. By the way, they have cute locks!

That's it for the fashion stuff. Now, we will jump in to the beauty products. I just what I needed. There's no single makeup item which is something to proud of! Yay! :) I don't want this post to be super lengthy I'll just show the products.
ESKINOL Oil Control Facial Deep Cleanser and Dove White Beauty Bars
Clean&Clear Deep Action Cleanser and Dove Damage Therapy Conditioner

And that's it. If you have questions about the items shown above please ask. I'll respond ASAP. Thank you so much for reading this post. I hope you enjoyed. Have a great day! Talk to you soon. Bye. :D
