Delightful Illusions

A blessed and happy Sunday to each and everyone of you! There's nothing much to read right now but a Do-It-Yourself post will be posted soon, hopefully. I'm currently working on it right now. :) So, today I will be showing you my nail of the week. It's all blue and pretty simple! I just blue, it's my favorite color. Definitely my most used color in my nail polish collection. And without further ado, I will now show you what's on my nails.

I used a sapphire nail polish a base. Two coats for a darker shade. Then I topped it with a blue glitter polish for a reflective effect. Two coats again for intensity.

I supa dupa love this combination. With the teal and green glitters, it gives a mermaid-ish feeling. I'm sorry if my camera didn't give justice to the color. It looks so much better in person.

For this combo, I used San San's Blue Sapphire Nail Color which can be bought at HBC stores. I've used this countless times because it's highly addictive. Then, I used Bobbie's Premium Nail Creme in Supernova (Glaze), available at Watsons and leading department stores.

What do you think about my notw? Would you wear this color? Let me know by leaving a comment. If you want to share your nail of the week, post it on  Delightful Illusions' fan page or on my Twitter account. I love it when my readers interact with me. I always reply. :) Have a nice day everyone! XOXO

Hello, there! Welcome to the first segment of  iTravel. It is a post here in my blog featuring a specific place I have visited, mostly my nature escapades here in the Philippines. Traveling has been a major part of my life ever since I was a kid. It impacted my life by broadening my imagination and most importantly, it made me proud of my country.

Over the years, me and my family have been to tourist spots, famous historical landmarks, enchanting and hidden naturescapes, and even in places less-traveled. Our newest destination was the Malumpati Cold Spring Resort in Pandan, Antique. We grabbed the opportunity to visit the place as it was a holiday last Wednesday. The main purpose of the trip was to see the Bugang River, the cleanest river in the Philippines and I heard it's second in the world. Isn't it something to proud of, my fellow countrymen? :D It's a 3-hour (estimated time) drive from the town of San Jose, the capital of Antique. It's a long road trip but  worth the exhaustion because of the seascapes at the left side and mountain ranges at the right side.

When we arrived at the resort, I was ecstatic to see the vivid bluish-green water flowing in the river. I headed straight to it, not minding to ask my mom if we have already paid the entrance fee. I could be overly excited often times. Hahaha! I was extremely enchanted by the place and immediately took pictures, still carrying my bag pack.

This is how clean the river is. See? It was storming and the river was supposed to be mud-like but the water is still clear. Click here for more enticing pictures.

Feeling like a pageant contestant with this pose. Please excuse the tummy. Haha! :)

Swimming portion. Enjoying my self so much, huh?

So, that's it guys. I hope you enjoyed viewing the pictures. I really enjoyed going to that place.  I still can't get over it. It seems so magical. Hopefully, I can go back any time soon.  If you want for inquiries, just ask me. I would be glad to help you. Please let me know if you want more posts like this. Talk to you soon. Have a great day! :D XOXO

Hello, world! Welcome to my little world of beauty! :) How are you, guys? By the way, I decided not to post a birthday haul because I wanted to talk about something useful and worth of your time.Instead of a haul post, you will be reading about products that I use daily basis for my permed mane. Please watch for my next post if you would like to. It might be a makeup look with a tutorial. :)

My hair has been exposed to various chemicals for such a long time. I started dying my hair way back in 2010. Because grey hair had spread throughout and gotten visible, I have to put a solution to it. But I was so wrong. Dying the hair actually contributes more grey hair in the long run. So I had to dye every once in a while to cover up. Then, just last year, I started using hot tools for styling without any protection (because of laziness). And after that, I went to a salon and have my hair rebonded, it became more thin than my actual mane.. The result? Even more damaged hair It was the most neglected part of my self, no treatment at all, not even conditioner. Oh my goodness, I was so cruel to my hair. By the end of last year, I have to cut it short and I opted for a bob hairstyle. I was so bored of it and after two months I have to cut it again. Then, last July, I had my hair permed (with cellophane treatment) so I would get rid of the thin-haired look.

I'm loving my hair style right now and I've never been so attentive my hair's needs before. I even came up with a daily hair care routine. I guess, I learned my lesson. Hehe! So, today, I'm gonna show you my hair products and tell you some tips for permed hair. Enough of blabbering. Let's go...

A good hair day always starts at the shower. It's important to clean your hair to remove dirt, oiliness and dandruff (in some cases). I use Head & Shoulders because it's the only anti-dandruff shampoo that works for me and it also cleanses my hair pretty well. Then for my condition, I use the Dove Damage Therapy Intense Repair. It treats damaged hair and split. I love it so much and I already bought a second tube.

I always start styling with a damp hair, drying the excess water with a towel.
As a rule of the thumb, permed hair should not be comb through it.  I stopped combing  right where my waves start.

Using my both hands, I coat my waves with a Macadamia oil evenly. I'm really careful not to touch my scalp when using this because it will cause greasiness. It's great  for on the go hair. It makes my hair soft, shiny and tangle free. It also helps protect the hair.

To enhance my my waves, I use a styling mousse. I use this one if I will just be around the house. It volumizes my hair, giving me a Hermoine Granger look. It contains Pro Vitamin B5 for a healthy hair.

Whenever I go out, I use this mousse. It's the Dove Damage Therapy Curl & Sculpt Defining Mousse.  I love how it makes my waves curly and soft. It has a nice clean smell.

A fair amount of mousse for a portion of hair would be nice. I style my permed hair by scrunching. Yeah, scrunch, scrunch, scrunch. :D

Then for the final touch, I use a shine mist. I love that this product makes my hair highly laminating. It protects hair from heat styling and environmental factors. It also tames frizz and treat split ends which is great because I can't comb my hair.

Products shown:

  • Hair Treats Hair Coat (Macadamia Oil) - available at Watsons and SM Beauty
  • Professional Touch Salon Styling Mousse (Extreme Hold) -  available at Watsons and SM Beauty
  • Dove Damage Therapy Curl & Sculpt Defining Mousse - purchased at Puregold Duty Free, Subic
  •  Citre Shine Anti-Frizz Spray Laminator - purchased at Duty Free

I guess what I'm trying to say to you guys earlier is that take care of your hair. Think and research first before doing a style, treatment or trend. It's just about the look. It's always better to have healthy looking hair than to look stylish but full of damage. Anyways, I'll go ahead now. I hope you learned something from this too. Thanks for reading. Have a great day. Bye! :) XOXO

A couple of months ago, I went for a small shopping on LUSH at SM North Edsa. It was actually my first to buy at the said brand. Actually, my very reason for buying was to sign for the "Fight Animal Testing Petition" because it's duty and my passion. It's not really a news since I have been doing this for a year now. I was really happy to see my signature on the store's display. I hope you sign the petition too. :-) I decided to buy the cheapest since LUSH in here is expensive. Hehehe. So, I picked up the Porridge Soap and I fell in love with the smell. I wanna eat it. Hehehe. I really suck at describing things so I will post the description of the soap given by LUSH.
PORRIDGE
Orange juice
Orange juice refreshes the skin and helps to keep it clear with citric acid.
Pinhead oatmeal
Pinhead oatmeal adds a fantastic texture to our Porridge soap, and calms the skin with the oat milk. The oatmeal also exfoliates your skin and scrubs the dirt away.
It's a nutritious breakfast bar.
Porridge is a very gentle soap that really helps to care as it cleans. When the oats mix with hot water, they create a calming milk that softens your entire body.
  • What happened to my skin after using it?
After my first wash, my skin instantly became soft. With continuous usage for a week, my dry skin became smooth. It exfoliated my skin effectively. My skin used to be really itchy but after using this product, it lessened the itchiness. You can feel the smoothness right after you rinse. So I guess you have to use the product everyday.
  • Does the smell stay all day long?
To be honest, the smell doesn't stay all day long.  But, it does smell really good when you use it in the shower.
  • Is it worth my money?
Yes, it's definitely worth your money. It's cruelty-free, organic and effective. The product costs.
  • Longevity
It can last for a month, depending on how you use it and how you take care of it. To make it even last longer, I cut them in small chunks, 6 at most. A small chunk lasts for a week. The whole product can be used for 16 washes but if you cut them, they can be used for an extended amount of time. After I use the soap, I put it in a paper and let it dry there. Don't store somewhere it could get wet because it would melt, nor put it in hot place.
  • Disadvantages
The oats will scatter around the floor. Take the time to clean it. Hehehehehhhe. :-P
  • Overall Rating
                     ♥♥♥♥♥ & ★★★★
I was not paid by the company to review or feature their product. I purchased this with my own money and with my own will.
Have you tried LUSH products before? What products do you recommend? Any comments? Hit the comment box. Have a nice day everyone. :-*

Hello there, my lovelies! I'm sorry, I was inactive for a while I was busy with doing my important businesses and I just had my internet connection last week. Yeah, I'm back at our home here in Iloilo. So, last Wednesday was my birthday, August 7. And if you are curious, I'm now 21. Woohoo! :D

For my big day, I decided to have a simple nail art inspired by the colors (yellow and black) of my house at Hogwarts, the Hufflepuff. I was sorted to Hufflepuff at Pottermore and my username is HeartWitch2443. I have done this little thing to support my house. :)

Since I don't have any badger decoration for my nails, I used flowers instead. Wanna know how I did this? Then, read on..

              I used these:

Before anything else, clean your nails and apply a base coat. Then put on a yellow nail polish. I applied 2 coats because mine was pretty sheer.

Using a nail art brush, I've drawn vertical lines on my nails with a black polish. As you can see, mine's not perfect. I know you can do this much better than me. :D

Since my striped nails look like Halloween, I covered it with a glitter nail polish in order to lessen the attention that will given to lines.

I pressed some yellow flower decorations on my nails. These cuties will stick on the polish as long as  it's still wet. Just be careful not to ruin your lines. Lastly, apply a top coat, a little bit thick so the decorations won't be removed easily.

And, that's pretty much it. It's not difficult at all. If try this nail art, please send me pictures through my twitter or instagram. My links are on the left sidebar. I don't if I will be doing a birthday haul. What do you think, guys? Let's just see about that. Anyways, before I end this post I just want to share some pictures during my birthday dinner.

I hope you like this post. I love comments! :) I'm gonna go now. Talk to you soon. Have a nice day! :D XOXO
